  1. Anyone catching any up Turnback yet? Thought I would check that out Friday
  2. I've been fishing a ned rig for might near 30 years, kust didnt know thats what it was called. Never tried it on the lake, works great in creeks and rivers.
  3. Also, it is important to remember thats Friday through Monday, not the other way around as a park ranger informed me on a Thursday.
  4. The crappie are definitely biting on turnback. I've caught several the last couple of days.
  5. Any advice on looking for whites on RR? I was thinking of doing a combo day. Trout in the morning then whites the rest of the day.
  6. Or stop at Cross Roads on the way down.
  7. This weekend there were dozens of boats at pt 15. Its odd that it varies so much. I can remember fishing between there and Longs after being done trout fishing on the 1st.
  8. Are stockton's river flooded like the rocks? Would like to try Halston or Sons for whites.
  9. I take a 4wheeler.
  10. I have been using ugly stick light and ultra light rods for years. I like both the 5 and 6 footers. They are great for crappie, whites, smallmouth and of course, goggleeye.
  11. Is it too early to start looking around 160 bridge for walleye?
  12. I'd love to help you out, but I'm needing the same tips.
  13. I find 12 inch LM pretty tasty, its its best to catch them upriver. I once had a guy tell me ha caught a 7 06 smallmouth on Spring River, but he was a story teller. I caught a snub nosed 5 lb LM on Sons Creek a couple years ago while fishing for whites.
  14. I am no expert on Truman Lake. One thing I have figured out is that if you want fishing, be it crappie, whites, or blues, contact Richard Bowling. He runs a guide service and knows the lake as good as anyone.
  15. Loved the in sight on treble hooks. Are there other baits that you can jig successfully as well or are spoons the best bet?
