Looking for some advice since you're familiar with the river. Me and a buddy were talking about A two day fishing trip down the Kings in the yaks this Spring. Marble to Rockhouse looks like too much ground to cover for a two day trip if you are fishing. What would you rcomend for a two day trip? How much water will we need? Any advice for a good camping spot? Any other advice GREATLY appreciated!

I was at Monte Ne this morning too, birds were working, but nothing like in the video. Wind blew us out of the arm, and we caught a few Kentucky's on the SE side of the cut at Horeshoe bend.

No doubt that's a paddlefish! I have a Humminbird 788ci HD Di unit, I need to play around with a lot more, as I have never seen images that clear. Do you think that you can make them out better because they are suspended / not moving much?

Awesome! Some day I will figure out how to catch fish on this lake! I do more "boat riding" and "fishing" than catching! I will tell you I have been lurking on this site quite some time, I signed up officially last year, but this is my first time to actually post. This year I'm trying to make a commitment to "work- life balance" because it's been off balance for a while now...ha! Not to hijack this thread, but I wanted to thank everyone for the wealth of information contained on the Beaver Lake section. I have been actively going through all of the tips & tricks and taking note on what seems to be successful. With all this info I think even I should be able to catch some fish!
