    F&f Question

Nice looking fish. Looks like lake Erie or some other large body of water.
  3. Good to see that your surgery was a success. Hope you can get back on the water soon.
  4. Yes sir, I am in.
  5. In July I caught quite a few on #6 and #7 Flickers and crawler harnesses. I was locating bait on points and channel bends and trolling over/through the areas at ~ 1 mph with crawler harnesses and 2-3 mph with crankbaits. I had one outing where I caught 7 or 8 catfish up to 5 lbs. These fish were suspended with other fish (walleye, crappie, and whites) 15-20 down over 30-35 FOW. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get out in a while so I don't have any recent information, but plan to next week after school starts back up. Tanderson, Fins, and some others catch them on their crawler harness rigs too.
  6. Yet another fine catch. Well done!
  7. Nice fish!
  8. FIshUSA.com received their shipment of Flicker Minnows today and they will begin fulfilling their backorders immediately. I believe KJackson and perhaps a few others ordered their Flickers online from FishUSA some time back.
  9. Like the first time we went out in your rig? Both of us using Seaguar fluoro. Both using slow death crawler harnesses. Both using the same number of floats/beads. You were driving and steering. Our baits were 10 feet apart. I catch bass and catfish and you catch 4 walleye to my 0. They were keyed in on your bead and blade color pattern. I had several occasions this past Spring where I took guys out in the river chasing 'eyes. Both of us would use identical baits and colors. I would come home with a limit or near limit of 'eyes and my partners may catch one or none. The devil is in the details more often than not. Nice haul Mr Anderson.
  10. I get some of the same looks at the ramp as you do. I use breathable Columbia long sleeves and pants in the Summer. It is surprisingly comfortable in high temps.
  11. Ahh yes, the loaded up 2 man dingy. I fished the same area as those guys a few months back. Only inflatable dingy with 2 guys and a trolling motor I've seen on the lake. They watched me catch 2 'eyes and they eased over to the area I was trolling too. I like your seasonal attire-ninja in the summer and penguin in the winter. Nice job on the whites and good report, J-Doc.
  12. Looks like a nice evening on the water. Good to see that you were able to get away for a few hours.
  13. You had a very productive morning Kyle. Nice work! Good to read that the traffic was light for you too.
  14. Nice. Who did you order your Flickers through Ron? Looking forward to reading your feedback on their performance when you have an opportunity to use them.
  15. I have a second kayak. Double trouble.
  16. Yes sir. I'm all in.
  17. Nice work, Green. Good to see that you got some fish before you had to seek cooler temps.
  18. Thanks for the info Ron. I imagine that was a lot of fun for those clients or at the very least a unique experience. When I lived in Mobile, AL I had a friend with a 28' CC. A few times we loaded the kayak in his boat and went out and chummed the offshore rigs. When we would get a bunch of nice snapper, triple tail, and cobia around the boat I would jump in the kayak, drop a bait down, and hold on. It was a blast getting pulled around by nice sized cobia and snapper. I used to catch some big redfish in Mobile Bay too.
  19. Looking forward to your report Nathan. Thanks to Scott I will be targeting stripers this fall in the yak (first time for me). The only ones I have caught up to now are incidental catches with my PB being 10 lbs. I hope I get one large enough to tow me around for a while.
  20. Thank you for the report, Tanderson. Great to read that you avoided the dreaded wakers today.
  21. The boat running wide open well after dark with no lights and the every 15 minute wakings from passing pleasure boats was bad enough, but for me the most troubling part of the night was the moron towing the kids on the tube just prior to sunset. The driver of the boat cut us off as he swung the tube with two kids (one with no life jacket) directly in our path, forcing us to hard stop from a full plane. Then the driver proceeded to pull the kids over a stump filled flat in maybe 2-3' of water, only to be topped by swinging the kids close enough to the high spot protruding above water that they could have used it as a jump ramp. Said high spot was also covered in stumps. None of the "adults" in the tow boat were looking back serving as spotter either. Typical day in the Summer on Beaver or TR, it seems. I am looking forward to Fall.
  22. Thanks for sharing the pics, Green. Did they say where in the lake they speared them and how deep they were diving to get them?
  23. Nice looking fish, Nathan.
  24. Precise and efficient. Like watching Peyton M or Tom B in their prime carving up defenses. I am waiting to see how well he recovers from his recent boat injury before I put him on my Fall fishing fantasy team though...........
  25. Salty team of fisherman and a good group of fellas at HL&S.
