  3. Hmm it all depends on I they want to bite I use grubs and jigs and but i slowley bring it up and let it drop and reel in the slack. And at first it was hard for me but I like to throw under logs and we're the rocks start to slop to deep water have caught a few good fish that way. Try the small minnow a red or green one. How I rig it and mc sports has this rig we're it's a small worm that had a blade on it and has a red bead I frogot what it's called but it works ready well. It's a red worm I know they have it I bought one the other day don't get the big worm use the small one

I use a small red minnow and rig it on a size 6 bait holder and put two sinkers on it about 5 in above the hook and reel it slowley to medium pace. near the bank and logs in the water and big rocks. I catch green sunfish google eye an small mouth that way and some small large mouth. And or I use a small grub rige the same way. If you want I can show you a few tricks if you want me to that will help you catch more

  10. I grew up on the James it's an amazing river to fish. I love taking my little cousins out on it and teaching them how to fish and live off of the land and what it means to catch and release fish instead of keeping them
  11. Sounds like you had a nice trip. Maybe I should start going with you more seems like your having more luck than me there. I have never caught any catfish out of there. Wish I was there to see that I bet it was a big fish. I have locked had of about a two pound largemouth out of there last year but it broke the line also right by the boat

  17. I went to sherif field lake last night at the boat ramp and was doing a little catfishing and well didn't even get a bite. Then I decided Do do a little night bass fishing and on my second cast I landed a 18in largemouth. Man he put up a nice little fight and righ befor I got him to the bank I saw him jump out of the water but thy was the bass of the night if I ha a boat I bet I could have caught some more. Did see a few more jump across the lake. Over all it was a good trip. If I knew how to upload pics from my iphone I would post one of that bass. Tight lines everyone and hope you have some good luck

  22. Water level was a little down. We had a cooler and my tackel box an two people and only drug 3 times. Once was just past cox exit and then aginan little was befor Kerr and right after Kerr about 1/4 mile into it befor it bends
  23. I have fished that same area last year down river and got a couple of fish I really had to walk a bit but it wa worth it. If you could walk that all the way down to Crighton you will have some luck fishing it
  24. I floated from cox to jro today I launched at all and right off the bat had some bites. I landed only two small mouth in the boat one was 8 in and the other was about 10 in. I did have a problem were they would hit it and let it go. I did lock hold of what was a decent size small mouth but got off the hook right at the canoe. I also caught a 12 in large mouth bass. While I was stoped to fish I saw a good size gar come up to the top of the water a few times. I also saw a dead one up by the bank maybe 200 yards down river. My girlfiend also caught a bunch of bluegill and sunfish. It was a great day of fishing and a great day to be on the water. I'm really hoping I will have more luck next weekend and actually land the ones I missed.
