I'm taking a guy Saturday night who would prefer to use a spinning rod. I'm gonna have a flyrod for him but I want to have other options for him. I will likely set him up with a blk/gold countdown or a black bugger with a casting bubble. Any other suggestions?

I'm planning on night fishing beaver Saturday night, what areas should I avoid wading? Bottom of parkers hole for sure.

Man I really appreciate all the feedback over the past week. I will remember that next time someone asks about my home waters. I did very well despite the lack of support. Also I refused to buy a fishing license. The mdc can suck it.

I am visiting some family in st Clair this coming up weekend and I will be able to sneak off in the morning to fish a bit. What some good option? I can bring my inflatable pontoon or wade/bank fish. It's my understanding that the red horse access is pretty close. Any other suggestions?

I killed them one year after a flood in the pool under the bridge. Water was up but starting to clear. Bomber nymph with a y2k under it with a big hopper up top.

See I almost went one night but decided it was too late in the year. Now that another front passed through I still feel like it's too late.

I bet the fish will use this high water to transition into winter holes.

I fished below the dam this morning and was doing well before daylight on the black bugger. Then caught some after daylight on midges. About 9:00 I went up to the lake side and fished a tube on the ultralight. I straight tore up the smallmouth. Had 6-10 in an hour. Nothing huge but I bet it it would only be a matter of time. As a creek smallie guy I am satisfied catching a lot of little brownies. Did I catch it on the right day or could I do this consistently? I was fishing right by the dam site rec area.

As long as the water stays "warm" the fish will bite well. The rain is another issue.

I fished Sunday morning from 2am till a little after day break. It was a little slow but I was still catching enough to keep me casting. I'm glad I did. Caught this guy around 4:30am. Caught fish on black buggers and black slump buster jr.
