Phil, Now I know your a real bull shoals fisherman.When I was in elementary school we used to camp on top of the hill above the ramp and fish crappie and white bass in the channel there.I remember catching so many little white bass from the bank around the dock we would get run off by the owner.I think the cove is still a good place for crappie but I got to be more adventurous and fish further away just to justify the 25 dollars worth of gas .I miss the old dock, and the camping down there, it used to be really nice.

I have on one occasion came across what I belived too be stripers surfacing on bull shoals, we where in a 21 foot ski boat and i had been out all day on the arkansas side of the line coming back into missouri.I dont have any equipment to catch these monsters but would like to see them surfacing.Are they in missouri water or arkansas?

7 poles in 75 yards huh, I bet ive told you a million times not to exagerate.How fast was that 75 yard dash.I know with my fishing luck the pole with the fish on it would be the seventh and I would wear my self out running all day long

Hey crippled, you seem to be a very intelligent and well versed person.Poss in the teaching field.I am saying this not in jest, but your statements are overshadowed by your dangerous citizen quote.I am not a well versed or highly educated individual, but I do know , tragedys such as this are caused by none other then the man, satan relationship and no other.I will pray for the victims, the victims familys and the perpitrator and his family.As far as guns go, if he killed those people with a board with a nail in the end of it , they would be just as dead.Amen

If I may say something, If its from polution from upstream, why isnt lower taneycomo dead.I believe its lake levels that cause the problems.I believe that tablerock takes priority over bull shoals and tcomo everytime.If they ran water through the gates on a regular day to day basis and kept upper bull shoals a tad cooler then bath water during the summer months<it isnt all that deep up on this end> and if table rock didnt have to be at powerpool or very close all the time so certain large unnamed boats could bob around out there, I think the fishery c ould be saved or at least greatly improved.I am a crappie fisherman and actually last year was very good for me on kdock.It may have been because I didnt get excited and chase surfacing fish and concentrated on my crappie.I dont know, but extremely large schools of gar are there and I think thats because of the water temp and depth.I also remeber the good ole days 30 or so years ago, I also remember bull shoals wasnt let so low so long back then, it seemed to even be high a good portion of the time.but table rock seemed to fluctuate a lot.Maybe if someone could find a source in the corp of engineers that has been there for quite a spell, poss they could shed some light on the subject.Maybe the priorities are differant now.I guess Ive rambled on enough.Have a wonderful day friends.

On 2 occasions in your last post you referred to the Govenor of our state as jr, or young.He didnt get there on his own I am sure, but ,he was elected by a majority of Missouri voters and deserves the respect that the office intitles him.

I hope you can make ammends with your family members.A boat is nice but it isnt something to keep family, or anyone ,in an angry or jealous situation. Hope you catch fish and also enjoy it with family.Thats the only reason to have a boat

Fish story huh, well me and my girlfriend, Morgan fairchild, where catching 2 lbs white bass all day long , we caught so many we wore a hole in the water.I caught a 3 lbr and couldnt get it in the boat cause the hole was too small,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yeah thats the ticket

I had a wonderful expieriance today as I got to read the sermon lessons to approx 400 people in attendance at our 2nd church service of the day.If you ever get the chance do it .Dont be afraid, your not alone and the words arent yours , your just the conveyance.I hope all of you reading these posts are having a wonderful day with family and friends . Guys, this has been an interesting discussion.I can tell the haves and have nots.Im one of the have nots.I am a middle aged family man with 2 teen and one preteen children.I do have a bassboat but it is an older champion.It runs well on occasion and crappy at best often.Be thankful for what you have.I actually think if you think you need a multithousand dollar 80 mph bass boat, more power to you, but it sure aint a fighting or even a valid argument in my humble worthless opinion.The sport of fishing isnt all about fluff, its about enjoying the lake, friends with you, and the fish.And I also think the reason for the dozens of boats in any particular area of the lake is because of the incredible weather we have been having and the bored to tears fisherman wanting some excitement , and maybe a crappie fillet for the pallet.Oh and if you see the baby blue(my wife says its a cute color and matches my eyes) champion on bull shoals , stop by and throw me a cold pepsi.Mines usually shook up or rolling around in the floor of the boat. Oh and please forgive this statement as it was just told me by my wifeypoo.Its not the size of the boat , its the thrust of the trolling motor that counts. Forgive me for that one Lord and be with those starving pigmies in africa
