  1. Phil I caught a crappie
  2. Bill, not trying to make a reservation but do you have a boat dock and can you see big cedars fireworks on the 4th from your place. Also could a local get a rate on a special wedding aniversary the following month?
  3. caught three crappie, not so good.got real windy. The second cast got me a 16 inch black crappie. That usually means go home.I didnt listen and fought half the day for 2 more.Did see a beautiful bald eagle and tons of boats.Hope everyone had a wonderful day.
  4. im sorry.
  5. Phil please realize that I think the poor fish should at least get the hatchery pellets outta there stomachs before they get slaughtered. Those fish might actually get big naturally if they had a chance to live in the taneycomo ecosystem. Are there 12 lb rainbows in taneycomo anymore? I am not trying to upset anyone , just giving my opinion.I was hoping my opinion meant something.but.
  6. Thanks BIll It was my personal opinion and you scoffed>I didnt say it in demeaning ways , I was just stating a fact.Whats the diff from casting into schools of hathery dumped fish, that by the way will hit the proverbial cigerette butt or kicking up bugs and fishing for the 10 or so fish hanging in wait by your feet.Same hatchery fish, same fun.Dont tell too many folks or they will rent there own boats and save some serious green
  7. Please dont take this wrong, but, when a man shuffles in the water to attract fish its bad, but if you follow clustered schools of stockers in guide boats its ok?How many years of good ole fishing knowledge and expertise does it take to chase stockers>?
  8. ok Im reading 3 fisherman, 150 fish, one and a half hours. This will equate to 50 fish per ,in one and a half hour.very doable.Phil one man catching that many in one and a half hour is possible .I prolly would be tired as heck though.I am also figuring these are stockers no matter the size. They are very very easy to catch but I like to play them a bit.I will not knock anyones catch and release ability and I personally dont take a clicker with me when I fish. When I say I caught 50 crappie its prolly very close but whos counting.
  9. Phil dont feel bad about the graph.I fished for many years finding crappie with a flasher.I have a hand me down graph now but some times i think its too good and i fish for trash a lot of times
  10. hey fozzy, do you live in lakewood estates?I talked to a gentlman the other day fishing spinners in the mouth of roark while my wife and I took a walk on the path down there. If its you howdy
  11. PHIL can you see the fish from the bridge?Do you fish from the south bank?Im interested .I got the flu and 101 temp but its so close i mite take a drive in a bit
  12. terry that aint small. The town I came from had both city limit signs on the same pole.
  13. Im sure its a personal preferance, or maybe a silly thing to do just to see if fish will bite something.I like the white because it is closer to the color of the young shad and minnows. If I was to use a second color ir would be the gray.I never have understood why crappie bite yellow jigs, or pink, I have never seen a bait fish that color before.I do have those in my box also, so dont think I just carry a sandwich bag of lures with me.But I need to tell you, I have three kids and a lovely wife that doesnt understand sometimes why I spend so much money on my fishing adventures
  14. I think its hard to beat the good ole white swimming minnow.Last year I made it a point to fish one color and it worked out very well.If you keep using one color, all you have is the presentation skills to catch fish.Keep it simple and you will catch more.
  15. wow, you guys drive?
  16. Ranger Dan and his big dog Dick , or is it Ranger Dan and his big dog dick
  17. Thom that cant be so, it sounds like it falls in the catagory of crime, and we all know there is no crime in branson.Well maybe running stop signs on cliff drive.
  18. I heard from a good source, they are working at a timeshare place in Branson.Be vewwy vewwy quiet
  19. I never was to hip on those dodo birds either , He is Prolly rite
  20. Phil, My mother has been the pillar of strength for my father over the last few years as he has been diagnosed with diabetes , heart attack survivor, and other problems common to the 80 year old body the Lord provided. Now she has been diagnosed with parkinsons and it has been very hard for her and for Dad.I am praying dailey for them both , but I hear when 3 or more pray for something it will come to pass. Please pray for my entire family as it is effecting all of us in differant ways.Thank you my friends. The Koch family
  21. chewed through heavy guage steel wire, in order to open a gate?what would I call that?I would call that carelessness on the part of the owner. Was the gate wired shut? Also is this public info and how do you find it, im interested.I love a good story as well as anyone.......................................................................... ....................................Gosh im glad you didnt say that dog showed up in forsyth.....................
  22. SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  23. I would like to add one observation I have .Not even on poultry pollution. But how many times have you seen , while pulling into a parking spot, or along a public parking lot, pools of oil, , antifreeze and other auto related fluids.Do you think this stuff just drips in parking spots? It is everywhere.Where ever an auto has been operated you see this. Our highways are our biggest sources of oil based pollution.Have you noticed how slick the intersections are when it first rains? And no its not all because oil comes out of the asphalt in the heat.I know people dump used oil on the ground and on dirt roads to keep down the dust , And they are a problem, but they arent even a tiny bit responsible for all the problems. We as auto owners arent aware of the trouble or we might be more responsible.
  24. 130 lbs and 100 lbs seems kind puny to me for timber wolves,175 lb adult at 2 years old are more common. One is pregnant. Is she ready to litter or has she been freshly bred?We dont have enough info to make judgment on this yet. Also wolves in the wild, travel up to 40 miles a day but they seem to think they will stay near the area of captivity.Define near. The land behind the animal farm we will call it is at best 1000 acres of woods and also its being manicured as they say for the new development in the branson west area.I personal could care less, but I wouldnt want any good ole boy hunters shooting the animals because they think they are gonna maul a child walking in the woods. It is entirely possible that the wolves will come back to the only food they know and this will be a story to talk about for a few months then be forgotten.
  25. Ravenous? Are the local sheep herds at risk?If anything I bet these lifelong cage raised dogs will hunt a can of alpo.Seriously in that area, rabbits , deer and other slow moving kitty cats will be in menu.
