  2. stone I used swimming minnow, was within site of kdock the whole time and caught enough for 5 hungry people to be stuffed,When i got there there wasnt a vehicle on the ramp and when i left at noon it was the same.I was amazed no one was there friday.
  3. i think what hes tryin to say is normal cold water over the entire lake will spread fish out, kinda like people we dont like to bump into each other all the time
  4. went friday mornin to the chagrin of my lovely wife, actually caught fish.Of all the crappie only caught one short. Was overcast at first and windy but as soon as the sun came out and it got hotter then heck the bite was on.I just fished brush and sunken beds 15 foot approx. Then the ole crappie fisher 2000 decided it didnt wanna run any more, thank god for trolling motor.Did i mention i got a lovely wife.
  5. first you filet them and place them on a wooden plank, put in oven and cook to 500 degrees, after 15 minutes throw fish away and eat the plank

  13. john, who is the fellow in the front of the boat?Is he a Clements?
  14. I read in another forum of a fellow who came across a stringer of fish with a turtle eating the fish, this reminded me of a situation in snap hollow on bull shoals.I was fishing on a very foggy morning when i thought i was sneaking up on a new stump that had floated in.As I approached the stump i noticed it had what appeared to be spikes , reminded me of a dinosaurs sheilded back.It was the largest turtle I had ever seen Was comparable to the one in bass pro in springfield. At least 3 feet across and dead as a hammer. It was hung on a trot line.It was sad knowing this animal was prolly 100 years old and was a big turtle when i was a kid camping on bull shoals with my parents.PLEASE if you put i trot line out , check the darn thing often. And regurdless if you think someones gonna run it while your gone, mark it clearly so Your fellow fishermen dont lose lures on the thing.
  15. wayne the 750,000 one had a dumpster out side the window though,Im thinkin free trash pickup
  16. theres only 750,000 things keepin me from buying the 3 bedroom condo down there.
  17. I believe you, wish you would tell the streams name. All of them round here are gettin shallow and warm.I love to catch small mouth in streams, and I have caught nice ones and gave them all back to fight again as they say.I also like a good cigar after and or before a fish trip , usually sitting in my boat at kdock waiting for the fog to rise and praying to the Lord for a good and safe day.
  18. sounds like a fish story, I cant kep cigars dry all day>>>>>lmao
  19. ok im thinkin of possibly braving the heat friday and tryin to catch anything on bull shoals. Is there any fish chasing shad?any crappie?id even chase a kentucky if i thought id have a good diner.tell this ole hillbilly some good news?????????
  20. If they where professional theives i imagine they would take the whole boat.
  21. hunter did you se any surfacing fish, where were the crappie?
  22. wayne I have to admit at this time it sure appears traffic is heading east instead of west.when was the last time you saw traffic backed up all the way and then some on hambuger hill? Also I was very disapointed when i spent my birthday money on a reel and line that was 5 percent higher then normal and then darn near 10 percent sales tax.Ive lived here all my days and it is really gettin tight for this hillbilly. And this will also be the boom they talk about like the first one 10 or 12 years ago.It will continue but hopefully the residents will catch up.
