No fly rod. I've never used one. Not that I won't, I just haven't taking the time to learn that yet

Ya sux. Wish I had more time. Reconk next time I'll do better J.

I'd be fishing if I was near the lake. Lol. But I can't get off the water no matter where I'm at
-
Navery, thanks. I will do that for sure. I have a month out here and planed to fish off piers, bridge and charters as much a possible. Mostly bridges as charters can get expensive over time 😕 But yes I'll try the stone crab. I've heard they are amazing.

I remember being sick on my uncles yachts as boy and being sick as a dog. I did want to die, I was only 10 ! Luckily it didn't detour me from ocean fishing.

I've already got a full day tarpon trip for Monday. Hopefully I can snag a couple. As far as being spoiled, my wife says I already am lol.

Got out with lil Dan and caught dinner off the coast of islamorada. We had planned to fish for dinner the first 3hrs and then tarpon and shark the last 3 hrs. Unfortunately my lil guy was sea sick by the time it was time for tarpon. Oh well, next time I'll dedicate a half day for the tarpon here's a few picks. Good luck out there in beaver guys. Stay safe.

I love that company. I've bought all my river boats from them. They have great customer service and products.

Keep it coming guys. Loving the info and suggestions. I will put it to use with the time I have, I can guarantee that. I'm doing tarpon this week along with shark and going to try to squeeze getting scuba certification also. Supposedly it's a 4 day course here. I think seeing fish under the water would help to learn local lakes. (Beaver is what's in my mind)

I did bring some spoons, top waters and some large crank baits form my Maine trip that I hope will do some damage. I don't care about the species from the shore. I just want to catch

I agree. Just breathing the ocean air is really nice.

Yes we're doing guides and a lot of bank fishing also. Im looking to get tarpon, Goliath grouper, Snook, red fish, sail fish, sordfish and mahi-mahi. I know it's a short list but I recoken I'll have enough time to get a few of them. Oh and a few shark if possible

I just got in today. So I have no fishing pics...... yet! Lol. They will be a lot to come but here's just a few of us chilling for the day.

It's been up a while. It's come down a bit since I was out with the boys the past weekend

I'm continuing to fish most all of the waters from RB to the darn. I got out yesterday around 5 and fished till dark. It was tough all day till the sunset (after trying 5 spots). I caught 4 bass in the waning light. One which was a nice smallie. Right as I decided to leave I heard a familiar sound, the sound of grenade's going off on the point across from me. I zoomed over as fast as I could without the big motor. By the time I got there they shut down but my screen was lite up like a Christmas tree. It was dark by then so I decided to get back to the spot early morning. After getting up at 3am, making breakfast and making the 40 minute drive to the launch, I was there at 515am today. It worked out nicely too!! I ended up with 2 Striper and 2 fat spots. All which made it home with me as my mother asked for me to bring her some ( she doesn't eat anything other meats but fish). All was top water also, not to say that I didn't try live bait, because I did have 4 rods out with brooders they just wouldn't take them. N e ways, water temp was 71-73 and the bite was from 530-830 so if u want some, better get there early. Here's a couple of pics.

Thanks Walt. I was in the clear end of the lake near the dam. Water still looks good on that end

Was out last Thursday mid day. It was a grind, I ended up with a keeper spot a 18 and 16 inch smallie. A few other short smallies also. Got them all on a football jig with a craw on the back. I was up in the LBS area. Was out to day with the boys and they both got a spot and LMB on minnows near lay downs. We only fished a couple of hrs. But the had a good time. Here's a few pics. WT was 73-74 today

Bacon?!?!? Shoot, u might find me in the trap too lol.

I tried the copper mine area the first part of the day. I flipped brush with zinkers and a half ounce bullet weight and crashed a square bill into lay downs and brush with nothing. Maybe I was in the wrong area but idk for sure.

Shirt? I don't wear one in the summer ? I need to get my tan on before I leave to Florida

Man bass fishing has been great lately. I caught a dozen or so today from 1:30 to 530. All shallow in 10 FOW or less. Stick baits, jerk baits and jigs did the damage, i also took the boys out Saturday with a bucket of minnow and they caught a few on minnow shallow also. Water temps r in the low 70's. I've been fishing north of RB. Good luck out there fellas and stay safe.
