  2. 👆🏽 Both guys gave great advise.
  3. Happy thanksgiving guys. Hope everyone is having a great one.
  4. Beaver fishes tough. Depending on what time of the year it is, is what you’ll catch, and also what area ur fishing at that time and water temp. She’s a tough lake but I love it !!
  5. I forgot to post it lol.
  6. Yes sir. Pencil popper did the damage.
  7. Ended up with two this morning, a third one broke me off in a tree. The one in the pic went home with me. It was a bit colder today and more wind. Still had a good morning though.
  8. Way to god Quill. I found some surfacing fish today also. Have several blow ups but only boated one striper. Mine was a afternoon bite today. I’m going to try early morning tomorrow though. Good luck quill. Keep those reports coming
  9. Yesterday I was using a mix. 2 brooders , 2 shad. I was interested in seeing which got hit and adjust but they ended up all getting chomped
  10. Striper continue to cooperate this week. I’ve been finding them on points mostly . I’ve looked on channel swings but haven’t seen much action on them. They’re definitely schooling up now. I went threw a huge school of them yesterday, had all four lines go down at once. Two popped off before I could get to them and one got cut off when it rubbed against another line. I only managed to boat one. Wednesday I got a couple also. Those weren’t schooling fish, they were lone wolf stripers. Fish are still deep though. 30 to 40 FOW. Still waiting on surface action though. Water temps were 65-64. Here’s a pic from yesterday. I took him home the ones from the day before were released.
  11. Thank u Johns. That spotted bass was chasing gizzard shad on top when I threw a super spook. He ate it good.
  12. After trolling for 3 day I finally figured something out. The day started out bad when I looked at my bait well and seen all my brooders dead. So I went on a hunt for shad and after 2 hours I finally had a dozen lovely shad. I checked several points and channel swings before I found something that looked promising. I was baiting my 4th rod when I noticed a rod start to load up. I started to reel till tight then lifted it out of the rod holder. It was a nice fish, weighed in at 15 pounds and some change. I continued to fish the area for a couple of hours and hooked up and landed 2 more. I have my limit! The sun was beginning to set so I pulled up the live baits and cruised around looking for top water action but nothing came of that. WT was 66.5 out there today guys. Make sure to use ur graphs and cover water before u set a line. Good luck out there fellas and be safe.
  13. So weird that there’s is no big schools of fish on the bait. Definitely a different year. Going to have to adapt like Quill did
  14. If u were in PC then u did . And I zeroed 😩
  15. That’s what I was thinking. Rapid cool down has the fish confused { and the fisherman} lol
  16. I’d think the water temp has the biggest say. If it continues to drop like it has been jerk baits and A rigs may come into play. WT was 67 today. I haven’t seen much top water so far. Very weird for these temp
  17. Good job on noticing those fish and adapting. That always key on beaver
  18. What Regs??
  19. Get out there Quil!! They biting.
  20. The temp drop 1 degree yesterday and that made a big difference. The wind was blowing pretty hard yesterday’s and the fish were still schooling up above and below the water. It’s definitely heating up out there. I got several bass yesterday and even a few whites.
  21. Thank u sir. I hope this year produces like in the years pasted.
  22. That’s great to hear. Won’t be long now I hope. I’m looking forward to big bass and even bigger striper
  23. I got our this morning for a few hours. Drop shoting and spooning was out of the question with the winds so high. I decided to throw reaction ( cranks, spinner, etc.) baits over humps and points. Worked out ok. I only caught 5 barely legal fish with one nice sized bass. Water temp wasn’t as cool as I had hoped it was still 76. Hopefully fishing will get on fire soon with cooler temps on the way. Here’s the biggest fish caught. Well be safe out there guys and good luck
  24. I’m still catching them in summer pattern. Drop shoting 20ft down. I’m sooooo ready to get throwing some cranks and topwater.
  25. Definitely stayed for dinner
