Very interesting. Beaver is definitely kicking my butt. I catch a couple of fish near the schools but very hard to get near them when they're busting. Hopefully the fall will make it a bit easier
MAN I cannot wait for THAT weather. Favorite time of year. Fishing in the cool fall mornings!
Doc I totally agree with u! With my boys starting school next week, I'm feeling that fall is just around the corner.
I went out of HSB Tuesday. Only got 3 fish. First one was a nice 2 pound cat on a jigging spoon. Caught a short spot and baby striper on top water. Water temp was 89.
Decided to give Beaver another go today. I launched out of HSB and notice water was a little cool than the last time I fished beaver. Water temp was holding at 88.5. I managed to get 3 short spots fishing in 20-30 FOW. I had to really slow down to get them to bite. Later in the evening I found some schooling fish. I never could get close to them so I never had an opportunity to land one. But they got my blood pumping. Oh and I fished from 3-7:30 pm
I haven't fished Beaver in a while, probably won't get out there until the weather cools. My fishing lately has been once or twice a week over here on the Bella Vista lakes very early in the morning for a few hours. I'm hoping there's a good fall bite on Beaver.
I'm with ya man. I've been fishing Windsor and lochomond the last several weeks. been doing real good up there too. Ive been hitting streams too. For trout or small mouth.
Hey welcome man. Forum has been slow lately. It's usually a lot more active. I have a feeling it has to do with the heat and boat traffic. But cool to have u on man
Totally agree J. Good job bill. I may try that area next week. I'd love to catch some whites. I really enjoy eating those guys, and don't feel bad for it sense they're so plentiful
I fished near the dam 6-14-15 and did well from 3-9pm. Got some smallies, ketucks, and small LMB in 25-30 FOW. Took me a couple of hrs to figure that out and to actually locate them. But with a little effort u will be rewarded....Think points, jigging spoons and drop shot. Worked for me n e way. Hope that helps.
Well with beaver lake being a zoo lately, I've decided to use my POA membership and head up to Bella vista. I fished Saturday afternoon so there was a little boat traffic. But not nearly as bad a beaver. The water was surprisingly cool. It was right at 78 which really helped the fishing. I gotten fish throwingcranks in 10 feet of water and flipping docks. Bite was strong all day. Thank goodness for BV.
I'm just going to get one of those amphibious car.. So when the water gets over the 12 bridge I'll just drive right in and start fishin. ? no boat needed ?
