  1. So since we dont talk about who is fishing or catching what how was everyones weekend and work week? As for me im ready for spring when the fishing is good so we are not all on hear complaining to each other. Other than that looks like freezing rain this weekend so a movie with the wife this weekend is not so bad, going to see american sniper.
  2. And why do my posts get duplicated, I thought we where all at peace about the subject???? Dang what the hick?
  3. Hey fish wrench throw 20lb Berkley super strong trilene big game line on there and I promise that will end that. Ill send a pic of what the spool looks like if you need to find it.
  4. Hey guys some of us are jar heads some of us our country boys and some of us like our lakes to be natural to fish it like it was, intended. So lets enjoy the outdoors that the good lord gives us time to enjoy and live on.
  5. Hello fellas,my brother in law shane said he,has quite a few friend's that have caught big muskie from fellows. So,if you know, him thats my brother.
  6. I might have what you need. Let me know and ill take it to your bro at work.
  7. Muskie prefer non game species like carp, drum, ect. Got text from brother. I stand corrected.now I have been educated.
  8. I have done some research on muskie and walleye this afternoon. Both fish mentioned are predatory fish. Following my research muskie are not a native fish of our Missouri streams,or lakes, they are a northern fish. Primarily shad or perch was the said diet of muskie, on this forum. My brother in law has a degree in wildlife biology, and was also in charge of fish feeding and handling at bass pro. Guess what? Muskie dine on what ever they choose. And,one guy who recently caught a 10lb walleye that had 15inch bass in its stomach. Over the past 30 years I have looked inside of the stomach on most fish I catch to see what their diet is. I was challenged on this so, am now respondind. I would like to know the research that is online for Missouri to better educate myself. Any positive feedback will be greatly appreciated.
  9. basser you are right I have saw guys countless times leave with litte fish. Be honest they have a new mdoc guy out there at warmer temperatures. He is a pretty nice fella. But id like to see more. If its not legal let them pay a fine. But really stinks cause that lake once had quality fish.
  10. Hey bill,im still ticked about the boat I had, id say they are very careless or need to take drivers ed again.
  11. And you guys are right this forum is to learn from each other and to express, our thoughts and concerns. But in a peaceful manner, including, myself.
  12. And to be honest every game fish will eat there own. Fellows lake once had monster crappie, big boys. I had a muskie on this fall was a good 30lb plus broke my 20lb braided line like a,piece of thread. This fish was as big as my leg. He was in the south cove hanging around a fish attractor.
  13. mr. Kvd I really was not trying to offend anyone on hear and I did not intended to say fu, but the word fine... it was not posted correctly from my phone. I usually post on my kindle. So I do apologize for that. Aggressor is the name of my bass boat. You have your opinion and I have mine. I have fished fellows for 30 years I am 40,now. So believe it or not I know a thing or to about the lake. I actually release fish from Stockton into fellows, dont think its illegal, not really sure. But I have noticed over the years, the quality of the fish, have decreased. Sure you might catch a big one now and again but not like before. Walleye eat bass, muskie eat the same. I have had alot of 10inch muskie chase my spinnerbaits so there not rare in fellows. Tells me the population is growing. In all truth it would do me know, good to kill a muskie. Because the lake has thousands of little ones.
  14. I just wanted to let all you fellas who fish taneycomo, I enjoy coming down due to the fact everyone is always friendly and will give you a hello when you pass by. That's what fishing is about. I dont see that on alot of lakes.
  15. I really think that the taxes we pay there should be camera's at our public parking lots, for safety. This past summer my bass boat was backed into at kimberling city and cracked my transom, which totaled it out. Thankfully I had full coverage on it. Sorry for your bad luck. They must have been drinking or know insurance.
  16. my fish are from stockton, was a point about game fish
  17. Im,talking about fellows lake I said nothing about pomme. I just dont agree with them in fellows but we all, have our opinions.
  18. if I catch one and its legal ill fillet and give it to the Missouri mission.
  19. Fyi they thrive on crappie look it up on the web. Im really not going on about this but just think you need to do some research.
  20. So what lake are they game fish to?,as far as I know, they were brought here. So now, tell me about Missouri game fish!!!!
  21. When you are out on the lake play close attention, muskie thrive on Missouri game fish and now wonder why where are all the big fish at fellows. Shad all,day at McDaniel but I guarantee you will not see it at fellows now. Not hacking on you but a neighbor,of mine studies muskie out there. He,is with mdoc.
  22. well they are not a native fish so if you wanna keep introducing non game fish to our lakes im not offended but in all repect do the research on them. Any angler about his merits will tell you if you put one in your livewell every other fish you put in there will die.
