  1. Here's to you 18 inch length limit guys. This is kinda funny.... for years I thought the length limit on Stockton was 18" I couldn't tell you how many "short" fish were tossed back outta my boat. Then 3 summers ago a friends son wasn't happy about me releasing his "short" 17 inch walleye, I argued it had to be 18 inches. He looked it up on the phone I found out I was wrong and now him his Dad and his brother feel that I should be reminded that the length limit on Stockton is 15 inches every time they see a walleye.
  2. Do Not use Bj Boat rebuilders, I used them because they we about 2k cheaper than championship marine, BIG MISTAKE on my part. Do not use BJ Boat Re-builders.
  3. Ok, a little more info, the price was a little north of $7000, there were no limits on anything. The agreement was to return the boat how it looked from the factory. I was told it would be no problem and would take about a month. I dropped it off September 19th, didn't bug them afterwards. Finally I called to check on it the first week of November. The shop did call me about some "blisters" that weren't part of the estimate to which I gave the OK. Insurance covered the work on the hull, I paid for the rest.
  4. The shop is BJ Boat Re Builders, Nixa Mo
  5. So I need some ideas/advice on how to proceed concerning the quality of work performed on my boat. So here's the short version of what happened. I initially took the boat to a local "boat re-builder" to fix gouges, chips and scratches in the hull, replace the carpet, and re-do the top cap. The quality of work done is terrible, I took it back and they tried again. The quality again is terrible, I mean these men should be embarrassed. Anyway yesterday after work I was fixing the trailer lights (which worked when I dropped the boat off) I discovered the tip of one of the screws used to mount the hot foot sticking through the hull. Short of violence or property damage does anyone have any advice?????

  7. Ok, just got off the phone with her she says the ones at the nature center are hard to find??? However she also said that there are a bunch of them across from the yuppie farm ( Rutledge Wilson Farm) and she said that she was just over there and weren't on the ground yet. She said to walk the trail on the south side of the road and you can't miss them.
  8. My mom finds burr oak acorns at the nature center, uses them for arts and craft projects. Also there are several in the very back of cave springs along the creek (at the lake)
  9. I wanted to pull five but the guide boats had it covered both times I went by
  10. Pulled umbrellas on main lake points/flats from rocky branch to the dam
  11. Trolling
  12. First off thanks to both Amery and Zummy for your replies. Put in at lost bridge south at 6:30 and am back home in miller mo at 2:30. 9 stripers rode home with us!
  13. With all the rain I haven't been on beaver since May. I'm Thinking Saturday/Sunday is gonna be my only chance until late in the year. My question is what does the water look like? Is it full of trees? will be looking for stripers
  14. I pull stockton, the rock, and beaver a lot during the summer. I use what I have and have excellent results. My boat is a 20ft Basscat with a 225 I use big crankbaits and 8# flouro. I know it idles fast but the honkin big crappie, and walleyes don't seem to mind. Keep it simple and catch fish.
  15. That's good stuff, but look at Fat Cat Newton hook setting on the you tube...
  16. How about a picture of one of these spinnerbaits
  17. Umbrella rigs
  18. Got to blackburns at one or a little after, put in about two caught 8 stripers weighing from 10# to 20 plus by dark
