I tried Aldrich from the bank, Orleans bridge and Taylor's bridge today. Nothing caught but 1 little large mouth. Everyone I talked to had struck out also. I did see a guy land a big carp on his fly rod at Taylor's.
Fished there this evening. Water level is still low but there was a pretty good current this evening. I head that people were catching them there the last few days but no one was catching any tonight. The water was very dirty and full of debris.
I stopped by 160 bridge at turnback and also went by Hulton bridge this evening. I fished both locations from the bank for about an hour each. I only caught a couple short largemouth. Everyone I talked to down there has not had any luck finding any whites or walleye this evening. But talked to a few guys that said they had done good the last two days.
The water level is still low but there was a pretty good current this evening. The was was very dirty and full of debris. I had to clean leaves off my lure just about every cast.
I'm hearing the same thing they are staging at Aldrich but I haven't heard of anyone catching them up the river yet. Surprisingly to me I've heard of a lot of females being caught.
If you make it towards turnback tomorrow let us know how the water conditions are. I planned on going there tomorrow evening and was debating taking my kayak because I was told the water level was so low you couldn't run up the creek in a bass boat. I haven't had a chance to see it first hand yet.
Atta you can fish Aldrich with your boat but unless we get some more rain you won't make it to Taylor's unless the water level is up from what it was last week.
