  1. Nope, not A-rig. Caught a few on it but not my style. All in less than 4 ft of water. RK & wobble head with craw. Good luck.
  2. Every year I make it a personal choice to fish on my birthday. My home lake is Beaver lake, Arkansas but my favorite it Table Rock. Sorry, just saying. My birthday, my choice! Anyway, my 3 buddies from Hot Springs, AR (Lake Ouachita) met here. The Rock never disappoints. Best 3 were 5.8, 6.01 & 7.02lbs ! Personal best for your lake- 7.02. Thanks for the good trip. Pig sooie! Trying to post a couple pics. Maybe I'll figure it out.

    12-6-15 Report

Nice flop there trophyfishr! Hooked into this pink girl couple weeks ago. Good fight but little tough to eat!
  4. You da man Dan! Keep them pics & reports coming. Your reports are entertaining.
  5. Paddle tail fluke on the headspin J-doc. Pretty sure it was KVD swim-n-shiner. Weird combo I know but it worked.
  6. Decent day to report. Got on the water just after twilight out of PC. Ran north towards copper mine for a while then south towards Monte Ne. Not much surface activity other than lots of gar breaching in their usual spots. Ended up catching around 25 small spots & tons of goggles. Not much size but good numbers. Main lake stuff around Blackburn & Joe creek was hot. Water temp was 78 with great color. Lots of bait balls on the graph but not many predator followers. Pretty much threw the entire box but the headspin & ned made it a satisfying trip. Realize it's a little early but the Eagles were everywhere! All in all - good day.
  7. Here's my take on the sunglass topic. I'm a local eye doctor & lifetime fisherman. I've carried countless brands throughout the years in my practice & found it's hard to beat Wiley X for price & quality. All are Z87.1 safety lenses & frames for you guys that really like to set the hook. A lot of the frames have a removable foam insert that is great for wind, dust, etc. Most frames are easy to put your RX in. Military uses these because they are safety grade. A frontside mirror coating combined with a backside anti reflective coating will is my favorite. Can't go wrong with amber or gray lenses. Anyway, lots of good products out there now .This is just my take. Smith makes a great sunglass as well-second favorite . Fish on!
  8. Thanks feathers & fins. I'm all for the law but geez. Obviously not 12 years old with a grey beard and by myself. Passed about 20 yards from me with megaphone! A stinking megaphone!
  9. Good deal! Watched several deer on a ridge line today around PC. Peaceful until a lady in a red/white ski boat yells through a megaphone "Put your life jacket on! The Polo will getcha!" In absolute dead still water. Been fishing 30+years,I am aware when it's essential. Am I totally missing something?

Ramp wasn't too bad but I had my nephew as a second hand. You'd probably get your feet a little wet if not. Wouldn't put a big nice bass boat in there though. Better off just driving around to PC or 12 if you plan on fishing Blackburn or Escalapia.

Put in at Horseshoe today. Lots of floaters - be careful. Water is dingy but still fishable. Caught a quick walleye & couple spots bass fishing. Nephew wanted to brim fish so scratched up some worms & caught about 30 bluegill. Guess they're starting up along with the gigantic carp.
  12. Saw that as well hoglaw. Cool to see those males & females together. Finally got a few bed bass to commit after a few bait changes. FLW guys will figure it out pretty quick. Cool to see all those dream rigs flying down the lake!
  13. More of a traditional bass fisherman but here's a quick Hickory Creek Report. Water is still stained but bass are descent shallow. Graphed a ton of bait fish and stripers off main lake channel swings around Hickory Creek and point 12 (junction of White River and War Eagle Creek). Caught a limit of +20inch stripers early in no time with an Alabama rig in 8-15 ft in no time. Not really my style but wanted to catch some fish!! Great time/place to get a kid hooked on fishing!! Good luck!
