I took the family out saturday morning. Didn't do to well. We caught a couple, but nothing to brag about. I ran over a 6 inch limb while moving along. Scared us to death. As far as I could see, it was the only floating debris I found. Unfortunately I found it the WRONG way. Plan on going out this weekend a little more. Any suggestions on what to throw?

Anyone been out of Bolivar Landing lately? Also wondering if there is alot of debris floating around on the lake. I'm also assuming the fishing still isn't very good? Can anyone confirm or deny ? Thanks!

Checked out bolivar landing yesterday. Looked like it was a good place to swim. That's about it.

So you're saying they will be up river rather than in the main lake? I haven't navigated the river from Bolivar landing yet. I usually head north up the lake.

Good night that's bad! I must have misread the mdc report. I thought it said bass were fair. I was hoping someone on here might have even more recent info than mdc (like they went out yesterday or today). I'll keep my sandwhich bread for myself!

Can anyone here help a dad who wants his family to catch some keepers? Bass or Crappie. Doesn't matter. I'd love to take my family (from Bolivar Landing) out and catch several keeper Bass or Crappie. Suggestions on what to use, where to use it, how to use it, etc (please be specific for an idiot like myself). Just want to fish for food and family enjoyment. I don't fish competitively, etc. Thanks for any help!
