  1. One of the Gentlemen in the tournament had a heart attack and died just before take off.
  2. They will hit pretty much anything flashy, my son had one hooked last week it was about a 6 footer. I told him that in no way to bring that stinking fish into boat, thankfully it got off right at boat.
  3. Wednesday and Thursday of next week look like good fishing day's.
  4. Suppose to be a high of 55 degrees here today...

I use to tow my 17'6" champion with a Ford Ranger with no problem, even pulling out of a ramp it never struggled, my ranger is rated for like 5700 pound tow...4 liter with 4:10 gears super cab 4x4 245/75 R 16 tires. Only issue i had is boat trailer has no brakes and going down hill into a sharp turn boat wanted to push truck sideways, haven't tried towing my 190 champion yet with it.

  7. Thanks for the great report Bill. So no crankbait or spinner bait bite huh? I'm fishing out of KC and found them deep but no bite on jigs.

Yeah no monkey dodo..after we retested everything put computer in it i took it to lake and it was surging took it back to shop and put motor on dyno and fuel pressure dropped to 20 pounds and bounced up and down, put another fuel pump on it and fuel pressure stabilized....haven't gottin the bill yet..it's a reman computer.
  9. Boats motor is fixed..turned out to be bad ECU(computer) and bad fuel pump.
  10. Replaced ALL fuel lines... kicked the vst filter out of the hose and see what I see. I washed that out once... whole inside of hose was coated with gunk, think I got all the gunk out now.

  13. Took vst fitting off and removed the flapper inside, it was soft and swelled up thinking it could of been restricting fuel flow as well.
  14. I have heard this from other Marine tech's as well, about the screens in the injectors...IF i ever get this thing running right carbon fiber reeds are going in it, plus maybe block stuffer.
  15. Previous owner said he had close to 4 k in motor and it still was not right. I do know powerhead has been off, exhaust divider been regasketed new stator, all new coils, regulator's,fuel pressure regulator been changed a couple of injectors replaced and who knows what else.
  16. I had to take lower unit in for seals and had them do water pump while they had it and most bolts where loose and no trim tab at all, but all bolts are there and it's a SEI lower unit.

Lol i think so..errr wait a minute i have a buddy in auto repair and he goes by Cooter also...lol...I know where it has been for repairs before i got it and i wouldn't take my wheel barrel there for repair. Gona give it a whirl tomorrow and hope all is well and that i got fuel pump built right...lmao.makes me wonder what else they screwed up.
  18. Boost spring and disk that goes on spring was missing in the diaphragm fuel pump.
  19. Just got back home and i think i have a fuel delivery problem, took diaphragm pump apart and the big disk and spring was missing from pump, the hose going to filter was just damp no fuel ran out.
  20. Lot of fuel and pressure coming from bleed circuit, when I pulled bottom hose off fuel ran out of it..

Maybe im just getting picky...lol.. tach will go up and down and if i give it throttle it will calm back down...i may take it to lake tomorrow to see what happens, could of been my volt meter also it's old like me...lol... Thanks..Oh i put sierra switch boxes on, CDI says they won't warranty them if a where not installed by a shop. Sierra did buy out Mallory and as i understand it mallory had a great switch box.
  22. I know when you in the water not to trim down all the way till your ready to go but i have never had one load up on muff's like that, that smokes worst then my carbbed 135 on premix...lol. I don't care for the way the voltage regulators are working may put OEM merc's on it...i have 12.9 standing volts on battery and at idle it's only putting out 12.7, you bring rpm's up to 1500-2000 and then it goes to 14.6..and bring back to idle and it may stay at 13 volts or drop back down then tach goes funk sometimes, wiggle wires and tach straightens out and volts come up to 13 + volts at idle.
  23. Put new switch boxes on cleaned every ground and positive connection seems to run better numbers are good on DVA but when i trim down motor starts to load up..
  24. Yea that makes it hard to do...i just downloaded the GFX files and loaded them on my 73sv with no issue....if you have a home computer and printer there is a pdf of those places and you can print them off.... Fish Attractor PDF Maps | MDC Hunting and Fishing
