Darn the luck,Biggeratts and I was going to go invest in some ice fishing gear.One of them tents with heaters in them and some ice line that I invented not yet on the market.Guess no use of unthawing our minnows for another week or so!!!!

Looks like antenna's

Took me a day to be able to type cause everytime I think about this I crack up laughing. Took my son down to the dam yesterday to try our luck with the trout.Only a couple of vehicles parked up by chute1 so we got the spinning outfits out and went towards the cable where I caught them monday.After catching a couple fish we decided to keep a couple to fry up that night.After awhile we caught a couple just under the slot and put them on the stringer and tied them to the tackle box. We went on fishing catching a couple more short fish when Brandon yell at me and said where did the tackle box go.Were wading about knee deep in the water when I looked up and seen it making a bee-line toward chute 1 about 10 feet from bank and half way there. Brandon threw his rod up on bank trying to get out of the water and started running down bank in his waders toward the now half sunk tackle box with fish tied to it.I just stood there in disbelief with my mouth wide open. He went in the water about chest level and grabbed the box that was totally full of water ready to sink. By now I am out of the water heading down bank to see if I could help him.Opened the box pouring out all the water with everything soaked to the max. By now I am laughing so hard I was on the ground.Needless to say after that we called in a day and came home. Brandon trying to run down bank in his waders..........Priceless!!!!!!!!

Got down this morning to find only 4-5 trucks parked. 3 people fishin chute 1 with fly rods so I took my spinning rig and went toward the cable.Waded out and started with a small rapala and nothing.Tied on a red/silver roostertail and had 2-3 short strikes but that was it.Tied on a brown roostertail with a gold blade and on the second cast caught a nice brown about 15-16 inches long.It had milt comming out everywhere.Few more casts and connected with a nice rainbow about the same size.Ended up catching 5 nice fish before I left with 3 being browns all squirting milt out.All the fish were 15-18 inches long.

Any shad comming threw yet?

Phil,it's on standard. It shows a blank square with a little square in the upper left hand corner that's got a red,blue and green something in it.When I click on it nothing happens!!!!

Phil, why won't the first picture show on my screen? I have got something turned off I need on or what.I see the pics of the whites and two scary guys. Anyone with an idea? Dave Inman

Biggeratts, you going to launch in 18 degree weather? I think I will be staying warm in the pick-up drinking coffee waiting for a doe to come out in the field and blow the hell out of it where it's warm.

What if you don't have a rod or bait?We can use my canoe to fish the tourney,we just have to get it blown up so it float's!

It could be a farce.The guy that told me,Brad a friend of mine told me about it at Bass Pro the other day when I was out there.He bow fishes for them.I guess a bunch of buddies get together and go out and they call it a tournament.I have seen pic's of some monsters he has shot!

A friend of mine use to make salmon patty's out of carp meat.I wouldn't try it though.All I could think about is those big orange lips.

A friend said something about a Carp tourney this Sunday. Bring your snagging rigs,wheatie balls and bow and arrows. Everyone is meeting at Turkey Creek Island that morning to get futher directions.Chum is legal.If anyone is spear fishing,bring your diving markers.All meat will be donated that is not wanted.Explosives can not be used!!!!!

Safe bet I would stay with Stockton,all you got to do is put a sail on your boat to make it go faster.
