  1. All I heard after the big rain with the super high water levels, and super stained water color, was how messed up the fishing would be. I just knew it was going to have the opposite effect. The water level and water color has been a HUGE blessing to Table Rock Lake. Great pictures of the fish caught, brings a smile to my face knowing the enjoyment you had catching them. Mike,
  2. In my opinion, it was the cold front that moved in. Water temps have remained pretty stable in the 50-53* range for the last 3 to 4 weeks. Stable water temps in the early spring promote bass activity. The bass bite was really good last week for a couple of reasons, #1 being the stable water temps, and #2 the stained water color that is clearing up. Obviously there was no bite going on after the big rains hit which confused the bass with the high water levels, and the super dirty stained water, but............this stained water helped turn the bite on last week because the bass haven't been feeding very well. If I can't see my 5" grub, 6" below the surface, neither can the bass. Those bass didn't get to feed very well, if at all, for a good week or more after the heavy rains. Now that the lake has started to clear up, and the bass have adjusted to the higher water levels, they where hungry ! Early spring cold fronts shut down the bite more so then any other time of the year, once again imho. This dirty water color is going to make for some killer fishing within the next week or two as is continues to clear up. There's a boat load of hungry fish out there looking for an easy, flashy BIG meal
  3. denjac, That reply of yours was "great" reading....well done !
  4. Mill Creek out of Kimberly city is open to boat launching. Mill Creek campground it half open, the other half is still under water
  5. How about a little more information from you, like ....... exact water temp and the lake to be fished? In cold water, ( 45-50*) water temps even a few degrees make a huge difference on the type of lure used, and the presentation of the lure.
  6. I launched from Mill Creek on Wed 3/26 of this week. Half of the camp ground is under water. I could just see the tops of the electrical hook up boxes above the water line. The water color was a two creamer coffee color, with visiblity at 6". I have attached a map of the campground out lining in red what part is under water. If it's not raining tomorrow, I'll be heading out to the lake again. I'll stop in and give a water clarity report for the Kimberly City area out of Mill Creek. Fishing was great two weeks ago out of Kimberly City, I placed 16th with a limit of 5 bass for the Anglers In Action tournament. All 7 of keepers where caught on a deep red, orange belly crawdad wiggle wart. The winning team brought in 22 pounds to the scales Mike,
  7. Quality bunch of bass, skmo Very interesting, I was out this past Sunday working the Mill Creek area and came across this same situation. I thought it was just a flook finding the bass like this, but I guess the bass are starting to follow the balls of chad in open water just outside the mouths of the coves. I to am heading out tomorrow and will be launching from Mill Creek. I'll take the camera along and hopefully have some pics to share. Mike,
