Is it usually pretty busy down there for Labor Day weekend?

Great looking fish. From what I can tell from the picture the water still seems a little high. Can you wade on the banks yet?

From the Generation page it looks like they have move Table Rock from 205 to 210 and moved BS up even further. Glad to see some more clear water coming through.

Has anyone been out recently? How is everyone doing?

Is the fishing good now? Never been down but considering it.

I know you've probably posted it thousands of times Phil but I'm looking to see where BS lake level is. Is it close to 684 yet? Still predicting that Table Rock will run 20,000 for a while?

With the release of water that they are currently letting out is it possible to fly fish or not? Still really wanting to come down and get in on some of the action.

Has anyone been fishing before the high water? Never been down but thinking about coming sometime and didn't know how long it would take for the water to clear up and go down.

Phil- I know that this is a question that practicing no one could answer. But how long do you see it being before you would be able to wade again? Would love to still make the trip up in January but the group that's coming wants to fly fish. Hope the water is receding and things are looking better for you guys!

Hope everything is getting better for you Phil with the lowering of the water. Are they going to have to hold onto more water with everywhere else flooding and the worries about the Mississippi and the Missouri flooding? Was planning a trip mid January but we are going to play that one by ear now.

Are you typically able to wade during January?

I have never been to Taney in January, that being said I don't believe many people ever wanted to fish with o2 levels where they were. I was thinking about coming down a couple of weeks into January. Didn't know what to expect of course weather will be unpredictable but is there usually a bite then or should I wait a while to make the trek back? Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you for all the help guys! I wish I lived closer or work would allow me to get there more often but a 4 hour trip isn't too bad.

With my recent first trip to Taneycomo I am already planning the next trip back. I am tying up some brown/ olive scuds and zebra midges in about every color I have. What are some other flies that I should tie up? Is there some that I should be working on for the browns for the fall run?

It was great to meet up with you out there. It was my first time out there and people who I had ben in contact with through the forum and the locals that I talked to while fishing were all awesome people. Other than struggling to keep our eyes awake on the drive home we were all thinking about our next trip down to Taneycomo. We also ran into a really friendly group of Texans there while at Taneycomo. I have no complaints what so ever about our trip. Made it into the landing and walked around there for a while and really enjoyed that shop, they have anything you could ever want or need. We also made it into Angler Outfitters and talked to Chuck in there. That man has some stories, I could sit in there and listen to him forever. He was a real stand up guy who was more than willing to give you helpful tips.

How much are the daily fishing permits for RR?

Thinking that we are going to try and fly fish it. We have never been there before so it should be interesting.

Are you able to fly fish much from the bank at Taney?

What should one expect this weekend at RR? Good fish being caught? Numbers being caught? What sort of flies should I try and get tied up quickly before I head down?

Would it just be better to drive over to Roaring River? Or do you think it will be worth to wait in line and fight high water?

Coming down this Friday and fishing until Sunday. Is there any place at all that I would be able to wade?
