Just curious if cape fair is going to be open for this weekend. Haven't been down around that area. So not sure if it's even close to being open

I figured a lot of it would be muddy. Would you think that moves the fish deep or just shuts them down? I've never fished aunts creek or 39 bridge.

I'm looking to brave the cold weather to wet a line this weekend. Only thing is I don't know of any ramps or areas accessible to put the boat in the water. I under stand slower is better given the high water and debris but I'm itching to go fish. And suggestions on put in locations ? Thanks.

Well I fished 10 -5 and nothing bit until about three. Finally started getting the hang of locating deeper cover. All dinks but they were all on Ned rig between 15-25 foot. No day over all though. Can't wait to get out there again!

Fished a tournament out at cape fair for the first time in a less than pretty 79' terry with a 115hp. Much smaller than most and got passed on the out side of a bend. Haha but we came in second so alls well that ends well. If it floats go fish on it.

I've got a question. What are slims and slicks you guys are talking about.

Doing a two day float this weekend. I'm considering taking the fly rod. I was curious if anyone has any luck or had any pattern they might hit. I'm thinking top water and craw patterns. Caught some largemouth before but I've never hit a smallie yet. Thanks.

I got a 1979 terry with 1980 Mercury 115hp this morning. Ran it around a bit, slick little boat. Boat trim was working heading out on the water. But couldn't get it up once on the trailer. Tried lifting it manually to brace the motor for trailering. Wouldn't budge at all. Had to pull a screw out above the hydraulic cylinder to relieve pressure to pick up the motor. Both up and down "click " and the pump " whines " both directions. I checked and noticed there's on hose that's not firm like the others. I don't know much about this sort of stuff yet. Is it possible it's too much fluid ? Or not enough and I have a leak? Help would be extremely appreciated!

So this weekend I am possibly fishing the Norfork tail waters this weekend. I've never caught a brook or a cutthroat. Id like to get some input to maybe improve my chances of doing so. Thanks!

On the bass team tackle website are the heads made of pure tungsten or the tungsten powder epoxy mix? I couldn't find anything saying one way or another. Also ha sang one here tried the Nutech jig heads ? Have a friend who bought some says they work as advertised.

I'm was using a lews speedstick medium action 6'9". It's great on the river and for top water. But I did down size to 8 lb flouro. Going to try it out tonight.

I've started using the FG knot and when it's done right I love it. But thanks guys for the help. But good news. My girlfriends dad just gave me his old bass boat so I'm going to be using a lot of these suggestions very soon!

What's a good braid ? I use spiderwire but haven't tried much else. I like the 15 lb stuff that has like a 4 lb diameter.

I was using a 1/4 oz shakey head and an 8 " worm. I think my problem was I had either 12 or 14 lb on my medium action. I'm more used to fishing the river so I tend to be in the trees often. I had another rod with 15 spider wire and. 10 lb flouro leader tied on that I got a keeper on but it was a 5/8 jig. Also I could feel the bottom til about 10-12 feet the. After that pretty much nothing.
