I finally have got a week off work and I am looking forward to fishing a few days on the lake with my future father-in-law. I’m curious if there’s any patterns or areas of the lake we could try and also any hazards we should watch out for since the water has been high. Thanks
I just got some sink tip fly line for my 7 weight. I'm looking to use it for streamers and craw patterns. I'm just not sure what I should tie to my fly line to make up the leader any help or input is appreciated
Same here. Saturday I had 2 such instances where the oncoming boaters didn't head right. Ignorance or just plain rude. Either way those folks make it a dangerous day on the water when it shouldn't be.
Thanks wrench I will definitely look at those mentioned spots. The transom seems fine no cracks or anything. But I'm also an untrained eye. Before I do much remodeling I'm looking to move the live well from front to the rear center. It needs to be a bit larger if I fish the tournaments I plan on. Only thing I've come up with is a cabelas live well and they want more than 200$ for it. Wondering if there's anywhere else out there that's a little less expensive.
I have a 1979 Terry. It was originally a fish/ski that's been decked over years back to turn into a fishing boat. I'm toying with idea of making an aluminum deck with hatches. Storage is my biggest issue. I need a larger livewell so I'll need to start there. Any ideas? Thanks.
Ozarks extreme outdoors on Indian point. Eric Hansen runs that outfit and he's done a good job for me in the past. He will take care of anyone. And he's reasonably priced.
I'd like to think we're dedicated, but the snow in the boat was my fault. I bought a boat cover a day too late. Ha. We're still trying to learn the ins and outs of fishing deep. It takes a lot more patience than I have it seems.
Yeah I was hoping to hook into a smallie or two. The LMB didn't put up much of a fight earlier in the day. Later on they fought pretty well. All bass are trophy fish in my mind.
Only spinner bait I use consistently last year was the less expensive terminator bluegill. For the end of summer to early winter I never took it off my rod.
