  1. I have a 2500 C I purchased in the 70's that hasn't seen the sunlight since 1980 or before, used only a couple of times since new. 761100 is stamped on the foot and there is hardly any rash. If interested, $ 100 plus shipping is the price. cfmoore03@gmail.com I can send pics if interested. CM
  2. About 35 years ago I used to get some nice Blue Cat's below 64 Bridge. Have you ever caught Cat's of any species in the Niangua in the last few years? Thanks CMoore
  3. I switched from Mitchell 408's to Zebco Cardinal 3's in the mid-70's. Never an issue and never looked for anything else. They have given 40 years of service and bring a premium on EBay. Real hard to beat. CM
  4. Other than a few old BB1 Lew's Speed spools, all I have used since the 70's is 2500 and 5500 c's. I have half a dozen Shimano Fightin Rods, also from the 70's, and never thought I could do any better. Funny thing is these rods and reels now sell for about twice what they cost years ago. CM
  5. The old Rebel Tenny R or Deep Wee R, with the orange belly, trolled off pea gravel points, has worked wonders for me over the last 35 years. CM
  6. My partner and I hit the Current Sunday morning around 8:00 for our first visit this year, not a car or fisherman at Tan Vant. There was a car at Baptist but no fishermen. We went back to the cable and had a dozen 12-14" Rainbows midging along the rock bank for 2 hours. We didn't bring many dries and finally figured they were taking emergers. San Juan's, zebras, and copper johns brought a dozen in before heading back to Baptist after lunch. Once again, no fishermen to be seen. Cousin Mike was able to land an 18" Brown and a few Rainbows followed. It seemed like the world stopped, one of the prettiest streams in the country and yet no fishermen on a perfect late summer day. Just wish every trip would be so enjoyable. CM
  7. No reports in over 2 weeks, just wondering if the flash flood washed all the trout past Akers!! I am planning to get down next week and was wondering if anyone had fished the River in the last few days. CM
