For our budgeting purposes each year, we look at attendance for the entire Tour, not just one event. We have 14 events now, so our travel costs have increased significantly in the last three years not only from the added events but the increased costs of our travel as well. We've raised payouts and/or paid places over 150% since the start of the Tour and only had one increase in entry fees in ten years and it was the 4% increase ($5 and $10 respectively) this year. We try to maintain a 85-95% payout percentage across the board and a 5/1 ratio for number of paid places where possible. We hit that number every year with our budgeting. Our payouts are also guaranteed, so anglers know what's on the line and aren't having to guess at what the payouts will be at an event. Lastly, events fluctuate 5-15% up or down each year depending on weather, lake level and other tournament trail competition. We don't chase them up or down or make dramatic changes to the prizes and payouts because we know it's going to play itself out over the year and land within 5-10% of our yearly budget that we set. The Tour is 14 years old, so we have the data and know the numbers inside and out. We believe our league is one of the best values for your money and that our payouts are some of the best and most consistent in the amateur angling space. We have no issue with the trade off that we are making between our entry fees and what's available in return to our anglers. Hope this helps.

This really derailed quickly. We’ve beat this to death here but just a few comments. 1. Bass Pro/Cabela’s does not own BBT. They are a sponsor and not operating the tour and/or making schedule decisions. 2. We’ve discussed this here for years that our event is extremely fish friendly. We manage our fishcare, limit the number of fish in the live well and we touch less fish than five fish events half our size. 3. We’ve been hosting events for over two decades and visiting the same fisheries. BBT once a year, isn’t impacting any fishery to any greater extent than the hundreds of tournaments held on a fishery each year. Appreciate everyone’s feedback regardless.

Bill, it's roughly 50/50. I've attached this years zipcode map. We had right at 800 anglers this year and half are considered "local" or inside of 60 miles. I think it's important to note that this weekend we had MLF College/High School on the lake and AIA anglers. Quite a few of our anglers mentioned getting cut off by both MLF and AIA anglers, so it's not always BBT anglers. It's VERY easy for everyone to assume because we are on the lake that all anglers here are in our event and that's simply not the case. Thanks for the kind words on our fish care process, it's important to us. -

Ok I'll bite. All of the answers to your questions are on those pages, they address process, live well checks, polygraph and how it all works. So no, I didn't avoid your questions/comments. You'll just have to do some research and reading, assuming you actually care to know. We've been at this for two decades my friend and hosted over 70,000 anglers through those years. There's plenty of references if you need them on how we run our events, treat our anglers and the fisheries we visit. You heckling us on a forum that we are members of and have been paying sponsors of, is a different deal. You've received the appropriate response to your attacks and conjecture. The fact of the matter here is you're simply angry that tournaments of any kind are on the lake and that's easy to see. Thanks again for all the feedback. Take care and best of luck on the water! -

You must be a lot of fun at parties... Here's our Rules and How It Works pages for your review. https://bigbasstour.com/rules https://bigbasstour.com/how-it-works To answer some of your other complaints/concerns: 1. You can't weigh a dead fish in our event. 2. It's an hourly big bass event so anglers aren't keeping fish in their livewells for extended periods. 3. We polygraph winners, leading fish and random anglers. 4. Our anglers take great care of the fisheries we visit, they're not in the business of littering and abusing the resource. You don't think much of your fellow angler it appears... Thanks for all your feedback. This will be our last reply to you. -

It's not near as many as a 150 boat stringer event that happens on any given weekend across the country. Our format is extremely fish friendly, we limit the number of fish in the live wells, we take care of the fish while we have them and release them back in great shape. Maybe you should come check out our process and fish care before you comment. We've been coming here for 13 years and the fishery is in outstanding shape. -
