If you are not 100% grounded to Table Rock you might try lake Swepco in Northwest Arkansas if the ramp has been fixed. I am sure the lake is up, but it is a discharge lake for one of the power companies in that area so will have some unbelievable water temps for this time of year. Go on the Beaver Lake spot on this forum and ask some of the guys down there about swepco and if it is fishable, if not you always have the trout parks, not as fun, but they should be fishable in a couple of days. Good luck. PS Go Fighting Sioux

Hey Don great pictures again. I think you need to get some type of commision from Humminbird for selling thoes Si's What chart speed and sensitivity setting are you using to get thoes pictures? I have my 797 and love it, but need to tweak both the transducer and the setting to get some really good pictures. I hope to be posting some great pictures of crappie and white bass with the results in the next couple of weeks. The one I really want to post is a big school of feeding stripers/hybrids down on Beaver Lake.

I have the same boat and if the traffic is not bad 45 minutes with and average cruising speed of about 35-40. If it is in the summer time give your self at least an hour or more because of traffic around kimberling city. Watch out for the big cruisers they can swamp even a big boat.

Picture number one Looks like an old house foundation Picture two The white part of the picture makes my think the bottom is denser old Low water corssing? Picture Three I think I see the fish, but I do not see their shadow on the bottom so it threw me a little Picture Four See the Crappie and the tree that are off the bottom, but not fully verticle they are not throwing that big of Shadow.

Thanks I think that will help when I try to get that going this weekend if the weather improves. I will try to post some pictures on the internet in the next couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to see why I catch fish at some of my spots that do not look all that impressive from the shore line.

I noticed last night after I put up my post that you run a G3 this made me fill better about the mounting. I am about 99% sure I will pick one up. I am looking at the 700 series. I looked at bass pro shops, but there price seems a little high, but if it comes with the upgraded GPS software it would not be that bad of price. Let me know about the mount job, you should have a great couple of days to try out the new toy, I mean fishing tool.

Alright Don you are pulling the grand right out of my pocket with the more pictures up put up, they are Awesome. I do have a question about the mounting of the Side imaging transducer on the boat. I have a 20ft Lowe Deck boat that is Aluminum. I have a family that loves the lake so can not own just a fishing boat. I have read on some other sites of people having a little difficutly mounting one on a aluminum boat. Any comments. Also if I do get one I will have to take you up on the trip you offer for the training on how to use these units. Keep posting the pictures they are great and I think every one else likes them to.

Good there is already good size on Beaver, but I am sure that this will help. A 20 inch striper is pretty common, but it would help the small ones get a little bigger. I try not to keep the Stripers unless I think that they will not make it, but I know alot of people keep every one they catch.
-
I bass fish some, but kids and work slow me down. I will fish the early spring bite and spring bite, but as soon as the Stripers start hitting top down at Beaver my bass fishing is usally just at night.

Talked to a guy that fished Eagle Rock area and said he had a couple on the stick bait. Need to get out and try that in the next couple of weeks. Also live in Cassville so there should be no excuse as we start having a little more daylight. Looking forward to new daylight savings time this year should be able to hit it after work a little easier.

I work in hand rehab and have seen 6 snake bites in the last 10 years. Three of them have been cotton mouths, one copper head, one timber, and one pygmy rattler. All of them where bad, but the worst had to be the pygmy which was down by Roaring River State Park.

I agree thoes Stripers are a hard fish to release. I do alot of fishing on Beaver for them and the bigger they get the harder they are to release. Also thoes are not a fish that reproduces naturally in Bulls Shoals and I think it is better that they where taken by a fisherman, and put on a wall than die of natural causes.

I spent a week up at this area and it was great. There is a ton of different type of fishing. The pictures are from Eleven mile canyon which has a good road with good campgrounds in the canyon right by the river. The other area is eleven mile reservoir. This is more open type fly-fishing between eleven mile reservoir and spinney reservoir on the south platte river. This portion of the river winds through the high plains with great mountains in the background. Great fishing at both areas, but eleven mile canyon is something special as you can see by the pictures.

Did you get to fish the stretch of water between the two lake Eleven mile and Spinney?

October 10, 2007 Stockton Lake Fishing Report

New to the lake to sorry if I mess up some of the names. Put in on the HWY H brige. Went up to around point 7 and got into some nice white bass action just before dark. We had 15, but if I did it again I am sure we could have had more. For us they where hitting Road Runners and white rooster tails. We threw top water, but only had one. My advice do not waste time with the top water, and watch the gulls they are great at telling you where the action is at. -

I will be going to Stockton for the first time this Friday afternoon. Are main goal is to find some white bass that are schooling. Any suggestions. I think that we will be putting in at twin bridges. Thanks in advance. -
Went and tried fishing below norfork Friday night. We where pretty tired because we had been on Bryant creek all day. We got there about an hour before dark and fished until about 10:30-11:00. I had eight fish biggest being about 14-15 inches and my buddy had three. It was really pretty and I think that it has some good potential. I have not been down there in about 9 years and I really like the campground and parking lot. I did have my alarm on my truck go off while I was down there and thought I saw some one with a flash light around my truck. That ended the trip and nothing was gone from the truck. First time the alarm has ever went off on the truck, but I am glad it did.

That is a great idea. On Taney when Fog has rolled in and it is a little hard to kind the Stairs down by KOA that would be great. Thanks for the number and the advice I will post a report after we get back.
-
Will be fishin Bryant for this first time next weekend and was wondering if anyone has been doing any good. Also what type of lures seem to work best for this creek. Thanks in advance.
-
John thank you for the reply. What type of flyies do you like to use at night and what is the number to the dam down there. Thank you in advance for you help.
-
Went last night on a whim and saw all your cars/trucks down there. Could not see because of the fog so went down to KOA. Had fair luck 10-15 for both of us in 2-3 hours. I was really rusty since this was my first time down in about a year. How did all you guys do up by number 2?

Information on Night fishing norfork tailwater. I have fished taney for years, but would need some directions on locations flyies etc. Any help would be appreciated. I ruined my Ozark Trout Tails book which was a great resource for this neck of the woods and have not got a replacement yet.
-
John does any one do any night fishing like they do at Taney. If so what locations are good. Me and a friend will be down that way next weekend and have fished Taney for years at night, but never on the White below Bull shores

We put in at Indian and was never more than a couple of miles from the Ramp. We went last night and RRV had a 19 inch smallie and a 5-6 pound striper. Another fun night.
