  1. Thanks guys reason I asked is had one guy at work that was throwing a jig with craw trailer the other day and was reeling it back to the boat like a crank bait and getting hammered. Did not realize the speed craw was a brand.
  2. How are u fishing that speed craw?
  3. They are blue water LEDs guy in cassville is a dealer black light works great for night fishing They go right in the champion rub rail
  4. 1992 champion 190 sc. Was pretty rough when I got it starting to look better. Some lights for night fishing And some more lights for night fishing
  5. If you go to Blue water LED there is a dealer in Cassville, this is the guy that did mine. You could have all kinds of different options, I even have some in my rod lockers and look like a Christmas tree when I go to change a lure. On the white light (moon glow) you could have that on a different switch and put that light in the middle then could just turn it on for short times to look what type of tree you just casted into. The dealer has done numerous ones in the Cassville area and every one that has them loves them. If you go to the Wed nighter out of the Shell Knob bridge there is at least three boat that have them.
  6. I think they are pretty cool can not say I have caught any more or less fish with them, but have not got wraped up with cords once this year. Here is what they look like in the rub rail.
  7. All I know is that I would not like to fish against Bo he can flat catch the fish on Table Rock.
  8. If you do not like night fishing you should try the lights from blue water LED. No wires the lights are right in your rub rail and flip on with a flick of switch. They light up the line really well at night and also do a good job of lighting up the shore so you can see a little of what you are throwing at.
  9. Off the bank would be tough but possible. Friday after I broke down and was waiting at starky boat ramp for the truck the striper started busting right off the point had a couple nice blow ups and one really nice one on for a couple seconds. I was less than 5 yards off the bank.
  10. One of my proudest moments with my wife happened a couple years ago at the dam site ramp in the middle of summer. We had got to the dock right before 4 other boats full of people. Swung in and dropped her off at the dock. As I was making my circle I could hear the talk start in the other boats that might as get comfortable because this was going to take awhile. As I lined the boat up with the ramp she was already halfway down the ramp and stopped the trailer perfect about 5 seconds before I got there jumped out of the truck latched the boat and we were gone. As we where getting the boat ready and the kids in the truck (about five minutes) not one of the other boats had made it on a trailer. A couple old guys that saw it came over and said that was the slickest load they had seen all day
  11. Not great but starting to get better had a lot of blow ups and had one fish about 20 #s. just a word of advice there is a unspoken rule that if some one is on a point and u do not know that person go to another point!!!! Do not pull head of the person by 30 yards and start catching the fish the other boat was heading for. U where a nice enough guy but not the best etiquette.
  12. Will be down there Tuesday to Sunday will give a report. On the other topic friend saw a tournament boat out of OK go pull a basket couple of years ago. We cut the rope on it and it now sits at the bottom of the lake. That has been five years ago.
  13. Anyone see or hear about any top water action up by the dam area???
  14. Ok guys at championship marine are great. If u need any work I would highly recommend them!!!
  15. The recent water in the transom was my fault had some guys helping me with the boat put a new transducer on they got done with the transducer but said they did not seal the holes, I was working on other stuff on the boat and forgot they had said that. Took the boat out once for about 2 hours and then remembered the transducer. Took the screws out and water in the transom. Heat lamped it for one month, re-sealed everything and put the transducer on (a little low so I could see If I could get a depth on plane) and after one trip the transducer was loss( in the spot of the first leak) and a little water back in the transom. To me the transom seems solid no stress fractures or any thing that I can see, but the guy that had the boat for me and put transducers everywhere and this is a boat that I am going to use with my kids. I just want to make sure that it is safe and that the 200 mercury does not come flying off the back. For you guys that have had the transoms fixed what was the cost???
  16. I am having some transom trouble and need to get it looked at. This is a new boat to me 1992 champion 191 and it got some water in the transom which was my fault about 2 months ago. After some further poking and prodding I do not think this was the first water in the transom and need to make sure it is safe before I take my kids out in the boat this year. So was wondering who in the area does this type of work and also who would you suggest. Thanks for the help Jason PS I may also need a good lawyer if this boat cost me any more money. My wife is about at the end of her rope with this whole deal.
  17. Ok think I am going to spokane just to get another opinion for that money
  18. Ok will ask thanks for your help. What should replacing reeds cost??
  19. All right took it to Brutons Marine in Golden. He called and said it was idleing very rough with a fair amount of smoke, compression was 107 to 110 all cylinders (a little low) spark to all cylinders, but plugs where wet and black when he pulled them. He is going to look into it a little more, but is a little worried it may be reeds. So how much does it cost to replace reeds? and what are the chances there is no dammage to cylinder walls? Thanks.
  20. Ok so who would u suggest for good mercy mechanic in the area live in cassville but willing to drive
  21. Just got a bass boat with the above mentioned engine. It seems to idle rough to me and also shakes some at idle. Runs down the lake great starts fine, but just the rough idle. Is this normal? I have a 2004 evinrude 150 DI and it is not near this rough. Thanks Jason.
  22. Thanks guys worked on it yesterday and it did get better, but think that some wet sanding is going to be in my future. Does any one know where you can get old parts for champions, stickers, electric consoles, etc. Also what does every one use for touch up paint on their bass boats. This boat has some potential to look nice with some work which I am willing to do, at least until the fishing starts to get really good.
  23. Sorry if this is the wrong location, but was just looking for advice to improve the looks of a bass boat I just bought. Has a fair amount of oxidation and was trying to get a glossy look on it. It is a 1992 Champion 190sc red flake. Just looking for techniques, products, etc. Thanks in advance Jason.
  24. We where up between Big M and Shell Knob on Wed. night and the number of shad was unreal!!!!!
  25. Went last night did not see any action, but kind of felt a little lost since it was my first time out. Did find the shad, but no Striper.
