  1. Have not been out this year, but usally when we get a good rain you can find them in the back of Indian Creek this time of year and usally not a ton of boats
  2. Thank you so much going to try this PM and will post a report, usally go over by the Dam kind of excited to hit NEW WATER!!!!
  3. Very cool going to try in tommorow. Will be first time out of PC any suggestions of where to start??
  4. Any reports like this up by the Dam?
  5. Good top water in the big m and eagle rock area this last week in the PM. Had them on pop r and buzz bait. There is also some white bass around if u can find them in fair size schools right after before dark, but they are in different spot each night.
  6. If it was not a traumatic injury and just started hurting over time u may just have shoulder impingement syndrome. If this is the case rehab should help, you can get shoulder impingment from a couple of different things, but the one u really worry about is bone spurs (this can cause a sawing like motion that cuts through the rotator cuff tendon). If you do have to have surgery they have come a long way in the last 15 years , but the whole process does take about 12 weeks. I work in rehab and we have these come through the clinic all the time with really good results. They may also do something called a shoulder decompression so that there is more space for your rotator cuff.(So it does not get pinched) If they do the MRI and there is no tear on the rotator cuff and the Doctor wants to do this surgery u are only looking a 4-6 weeks of being out. If you have any questions please just PM me I would be happy to help in any way I can. Jason
  7. Had the same problem in the same spot about 5 years ago, I almost cut thoes kids in half scared me to death. Just caught a glimps of something in the water ahead of the boat and shut it down. Yelled at the kids for not having a light and they said it got dark on them and where just trying to get across the lake.
  8. Lake right at 80 81 yesterday PM at Indian Creek. Unreal how fast that water temp has risen. Kids wore me out during the day do did not fish that much in the early AM. Must be getting Old.
  9. I put in at lost bridge south and ran up clifty also yesterday am. Water was clearing a little up by clifty going towards hogscald a little maybe 2-3 ft visability, point 5 was pretty muddy, did not run up towards the dam at all. My 7 year old did manage to catch his first striper on his zebco, on his second cast. Fish was only about 20 inches long, but it sure made that zebco zing. Hope it clears by the weekend.
  10. Went last night out of Lost bridge south. Really muddy, found some clearer water back in a cove up by point 5. Had one 19 inch walleye, and 5 blow ups/boils on a red fin fishing for striper. No hook ups on Stripers and did not see any top water action. Had one pig hit it about 10 ft from the boat, gave all three of us a good scare. I love when they are just busting on top, but when u blind cast 100 times and then on that 101 cast get a 20# plus fish hit it right at the boat, it is hard to beat.
  11. If i am reading the chart right beaver lake is lower now than it was on Sunday. I am going to try it tonight and will give a report on how I do.
  12. Had some color up by point 5 but not bad still managed to get three Striper to the boat on top water this am.
  13. The Relay for Life Bass tournament that was going to be out of Campbell Point this Saturday the 14th has been canceled and will be rescheduled in a couple of weeks. Sorry if this caused any problems, just want the lake and parking situation to be a little better. Jason
  14. I was really really excited.
  15. Here is a little better picture, still does not do the fish justice.
  16. Thanks guys, I wish I could have had a good scale, but what are u going to do. All i know is that I fished friday and Saturday and caught a lot of fish, nothing over 17inches and they all looked like babies to that one.
  17. Fished last night out of Eagle Rock and had this one right at dark. This is my biggest bass and did not have a scale in the boat. She was almost 25 inches long and a quick girth was 16.5 to 17 inches. Let her take a trip in the livewell to recover for an hour then released with no problems. Hardest fighting bass I have ever had on the end of my line. Wish I had a scale, but I would guess 7.5#s-8#s. I have had a couple 6-6.5#s with scale and this one dwarfed them. Not the best picture.

    Whites

Did pretty well up Kings on Sarurday AM. Fished about 1/2 mile below the 86 bridge. Had about 25 or so with the majority of them being good solid whites no dinks. Started trolling a shad rap found fish right away and then casted to them, it was done by 10:30 AM. Went above the bridge and talked to some people that where getting a couple here and there. Should be really good this week.
  19. Thanks techo, for years I have read about the great small mouth spring action up by the dam and i guess this is the year we are going to get to try it. I seem to remember people throwing gurbs up on gravel point, but like u said I guess will just watch the post as the time get closer.
  20. Me a buddy and his two teenage boys going to do a fishing weekend starting April 8th out of Big Cedar. Would like to target smallmouth, but not sure if this time frame may be a little early for that. If it is to early for the smallies any fish will do. I do fish Table Rock, but have never fished above Kimberling City (Mostly around Eagle Rock) and from what I read it almost fishes like a different lake the closer you get to the Dam. Not looking for any ones honey hole, but just some types of places to try that time of year, along with what to throw. Thanks for your help Jason PS Will be doing both day and night fishing.
  21. That fish was caught at dusk, but took me a while to get it in. We where in deep water and my friend was in the front of the boat still chasing fish on the trolling motor, took awhile to get that one in, it was a great fight. I was a little worried about letting it go, but she/he went back with not problems. I have had all my luck on clousers, have tried other type of flies including poppers, etc, but the clouser seems to be the go to fly with either gray or white or blue and white being the colors I like best. I have also tried sinking line, but me and my buddy now just use floating line because the sinking line is so hard to pick up for quick cast when they are busting/moving around the boat. I also think that when you are chasing surfacing fish there is no real need to go any deeper that 4-5 ft. I fish spring from mid april through May looking for the top water action, I also have not had much luck blind casting. We have also tried using a zara spook or red find without hooks as a teaser bait to try to get the fish in closer, but usally have some type of malfunction with line getting hooked on a cleat happens and we do not get the fly in front of the fish, but I really think that this would work to get thoes fish so excited that anything that looks like a shad is going to get hit. Good luck this year post if you hook up.
  22. I try to do a little each year, but with limited success. I have managed to get 3-4 in the boat in the last couple of years, but nothing to big just yet. Here is one I had last year a fairly nice hybrid, and the biggest true striper I have ever had on a fly was only about 6#s. Biggest fish we put in the boat with a fly rod was a really nice hybrid I would have guessed between 8-9#s, may have been bigger no scale in the boat that day.
  23. Was there last night and seen nothin must be a AM top water bite. May have to try Saturday, wish I could hear a good striper report though>>>>
  24. See any Stripers up?
  25. Great job guys.
