I got down there about 5:30 p.m. to Outlet 1. Water was really murky. I think, as I was standing there, I was watching the shore cave in to the water, making it murkier! Hobbled down to Outlet 2, tied on a Son of Sam (thanks to BDS), had two hits, but missed them both. A fellow across the way from me (I believe his name is Chuck D, from River Run) was kind enough to hook me up with a Big Ugly, which I used as a strike indicator above a Copper Dun Midge. It was an awesome pair! I hooked 3 14-16 inch 'bows, and had several more hits. I must still have been sleeping since yesterday to miss that many! The sky started to rain down on me, and grey clouds made me think of what Mrs. Ducky said earlier...that you probably have a better chance of being struck by lightening than drowning in your waders...I didn't want to prove her right, so I decided to leave. On my last cast, I foul hooked a 20" beautiful 'bow (is there cutthroat at Taney? It had really RED gills, and no pink stripe!). I wish I'd never heard of the Taneycomo shuffle, cause I think I'm becoming very good at it! (I would never catch with my net, but it was tempting!) I had about a 22" 'bow at my feet the whole time, and all I could think was SUPPER! Anyways, until next weekend, Mr. Ducky, OUT!
