  1. Thanks for the report guys.
  2. They have been working for over a week cleaning up all the driftwood from the shoreline at Hickory Creek. All the sites still closed today.
  3. Thanks for the report Dan.
  4. ?? What’s up with that? I didn’t see any top water action but it’s got to be firing off soon with these cold fronts coming through.
  5. There are a few fish around the Coppermine area. WT 67 yesterday.
  6. Going out in the morning. Will report.
  7. Sounds like my old Merc. Needed to be aired out if I trolled it too much.
  8. I've been back 3 times to look at this boat.....man that's nice!
  9. Bueatiful rig! Love the SHO motor. Couldn't get SHO in a long shaft or I would have one on my boat.
  10. x2. I've been fishing a CC since 03 and will never go back. I would go with the Ranger. Awesome boat!
  11. I had a similar situation as you. I had a 2003 model boat with a smoking choking merc 115. Same issues as you fouling, loading up, etc... I repowered with a Yamaha 115 4 stroke. I am very, very, very pleased. I've trolled the thing for hours without missing a beat. Very easy on the gas. Very quiet. No pumping a bulb. Just look at the key and it starts. Assuming you need a short shaft, For a couple hundred bucks you can get the new Yamaha SHO motor (super high output) which has a much improved holeshot and lower rpm performance. I purchased my long shaft version from Barling Boat Sales in Ft Smith. (Local dealer never returned my call). The standard (non-SHO) model doesn't have the low rpm pep of a 2 stroke. I'm not a run-n-gun fisherman anymore so it's not an issue for me. My best friend is an ETEC guy and is pleased with his motor. He has a first generation model that had some issues but I think they have solved the early problems with that motor. Hope this helps.
  12. That's easier than when I registered in Idaho. You had to bring the entire boat to the DMV so they could verify the HIN in person.
  13. Fished up in the river today....came out with my frown face on. No birds, a few scattered fish on the graph but found no big schools. Looking for plan B. Good news is the crappie fisherman were all smiles.
  14. I was feeling the love right up to ......OK.....
  15. Congrats Dan. Those are nice pigs.
  16. I went full in and bought 4 Okuma Coldwater reels and mated them with Shimano TDR trolling rods. I've used them once and really enjoyed them.
  17. More often than not, my day turns out the same when I leave a bite to go looking....and I still do it! Guess I'll never learn.
  18. Great report. Thanks for the post!
  19. That's my issue. My work schedule often calls me away from home and off the fishing grounds for a week or two. I find um...then I loose em...then start all over! Tough out there today. Cold wind blowing the tops off the whitecaps. Looks like better days ahead.
  20. Cool pics Dan but I miss reading your fishing reports. Looks like you're having a ball. My friends out in Idaho Are all reporting record snow this year.
  21. Looks like a bit of a warming trend. I'll probably give it a try Monday or Tuesday. I haven't been out in a few weeks. Anyone out there fished the Striper lately? Any help is better than starting blind.
  22. Good stuff Lance. Thanks for the post.
  23. Carver Covers http://www.carvercovers.com/ Fits my Kenner center console perfectly. All different styles and sizes. I'm on the fifth year of mine and it is still as good as new.
  24. Thanks for the report!
