  1. Thanks Mike.. I appreciate your DC experience, I come from The AC High voltage Transmission & Distribution side. (retired).I have not gotten a reply from Carling yet.. Yes, from what my research found was about the same as yours. Thanks for your response ! Will
  2. Does someone know the difference is CMB & CLB series breakers. They appear to be both for marine use, both one push reset & both thermal breakers. There are many more options labeled CLB. The bad breaker in my Alumacraft was a CMB, but I dont know if it was original or not. When I find out the difference, I will change out all my breakers. Thanks for your responses.
  3. I have a bad Carling CMB Series 15A Breaker. Are the CLB Series 15A the same thing ?Thanks..
  4. Wow, what engineer thought THAT was a good idea !
  5. Maybe let it dry first before screwing it back in so your not glueing it in place..
  6. This is your LUCKY DAY ! 11hr 38min 779mi WALLEYE, NORTHERN PIKE & SMALLMOUTH ! I fished Roy Lake Resort & Lodge in South Dakota. (One of TV Al Linders Walleye spots). Roy Lake is a Walleye Lake, but I was told later that several of the small lakes in that area were over run with Northern Pike so I wouldnt want to fish them.. LIKE HELL !!!!! I love fishing for Northern Pike. They get SO pissed off when you catch them. Maybe they can give you specifics ! Be sure to share back when you find out where they are ! Roy Lake Resort & Lodge Address: 11571 Northside Dr, Lake City, SD 57247. Phone: (605) 448-5498
  7. I love fishing for Northerns.. They get so pissed off when you catch them..
  8. Welcome to this forum. We love pictures.. At least I do !
  9. You have all the high tech experience all right !
  10. After the tach suggestion by "Basfis" , The tach zero'd out when it was suppose to (thanks again). WOT gps speed 41 mph @ 6000 rpm. Water slight chop. (pretty squirrely ride) Not scientific, but now I know I am in the ball park & I will call it good with my current prop(s).
  11. Did as you suggested. Worked like a champ. Thanks
  12. It would be alot easier if I were alot younger.. LOL
  13. Rev limiter... duhhhh...
  14. Then that is good news. My gauge must be off.
  15. Well if THIS is the problems, then my rpms are probably fine. I will pull the tach later and check that out. Maybe spray contact cleaner ?? thanks I will still do the WOT test later as well. Ill keep y'all posted.
  16. Blowing out is very possible, but like I said it was momentary and I backed off throttle immediately. I will recheck Monday. I did go outside to the boat, put the key in, turned it to on, then turned the key off & removed the key. The tach did not change. Stayed at 1800 rpms.
  17. 09 Alumacraft MV 1860SPL CC AW 08 Yamaha F90 Four Stroke First day on the water since I bought the boat. I have not done a WOT yet because I did not notice the rpms until I was almost back top the dock and that was briefly. By that time I was exhausted from fishing & sunburnt. It is very possible I was trimmed up too much, seriously I was so spent, I just needed to leave. Momentarily read 37mph on my lowrance @ 3/4 throttle and that was about MY limit with my current medical issues. Again im fine at 25ish mph- whatever just be up on plane. Weather permitting (wind), I plan to go out Monday to better pay attention to my prop position & rpms. Make sure I actually do have an issue before I dive into the prop things. Cant imagine the (original) previous owner would have two incorrect props.. Very possible "exhausted" operator error. EDIT: Here is a picture of my gauges when the boat is off. Just noticed where the rpms are sitting. Naturally I dont know if that is suppose to zero out when you shut the motor off. ( I went out to the boat & turned the key on & off but there was no change in tach reading-if that matters.)
  18. No problems... I am reading thru & have a similar issue with the Yamaha. it is barely adjusted to discharge the stream to the starboard side, BUT just barely to starboard. I'd like mine to be MORE obviously starboard.
  19. Yeah, I just dont know why my boat came with an alum & a stainless same itch & diameter. The stainless is on now & at 3/4 throttle the rpms run closer to 7000, much higher than the 5000-6000 range. and that was not WOT... I plan on getting accurate numbers after the weekend on a calm day. I have read so much on props my head is gaining its own rpms. * I am not looking for hole shot nor top speed. I am past all that nowadays. I just dont want to stress my motor. I am fine just getting up on plane to get from one fishing spot to another.
  20. No, it is black. OLD prop
  21. Ok I finally got my REALLY EXPENSIVE oem ignition key.
  22. I have two props both same pitch & diameter. One aluminum & one old "painted" stainless steel". Other than the slip & flex would one or the other have lower RPMs at WOT ? I have not personally tested yet & cant for a while...
  23. 2 props. 13 x 19K & 13 x 13K which will have higher RPMs ? I believe there is about 1000 rpm difference, but which way.. thanks. I know its early... Increasing pitch lowers rpm so the 13 x 19 will have the LOWER RPM... right ?
  24. Table Rock Lake level !
