  1. COE canceled the addition for now.
  2. 4 feet below the dam, about 2 feet here.
  3. ... just went by. Well an hour ago. We pushed it up against the bank just above Monkey Island and got it stuck but with more water coming, it may not be for long.
  4. 8 pm they're raising our level again- they can't keep up with the water coming in. Another 10,000 cfs at 8 pm. Will be 55,000 They opened the flood gates at Beaver Dam today as far as it will go... 7 feet.
  5. The water is at the top of our retainer wall across the front below the pavilion so it's about 3.5 feet over the road. The current is very fast and putting alot of pressure on the dock but it's doing fine. We places 6 extra cables before the water came up and it must be helping. There's alot of docks that are twisted, falling is or broken away from the bank. Dad's dock broke away last night at the cat walk but the cables swung it to the bank and we cabled it further. People are actually fishing off the wall and catch a few rainbows. One guy is fishing down the old boat ramp. We've had alot of people cancel but some have not.
  6. The Missouri Water Patrol is advising that no one boats on at least the upper lake while this much water is being released. I talked to a patrolman this afternoon and he said they are advising but cannot tell someone not to boat and/or fish. We saw several boaters on the lake while working downtown today but very few. This water is expected to continue till Wednesday next week.
  7. There's about 30 houses on the upper lake that have water in them. Most of the homes are evaculated and the power has been shut off. It was reported that a boat was pulling up to houses across from Fall Creek and a person or persons were trying to get in. The Water Patrol was called and they were caught. Just be aware of strangers in these neighborhoods, especially at night.
  8. Our internet was down yesterday till this morning for some reason. Scotty's Dock broke lose this morning and drifted down about 500 yards before coming to a stop about 75 yards from Bus 65 bridge. Cables and weights kept it from crashing into the bridge. We worked thru the am to move what boats we could from the dock while dock and city workers secured additional anchors and cables to keep the big dock in place. Lemar lost a few rental boats and a couple of privates boats were damaged but the dock and most of the boats are ok. The dock will have to ride out the high water before anything is done. Fall Creek's Dock has supposedly broken away but it still in place by it's cables. The main walkway and stiff arms have buckled, reported by the Water Patrol. We're keep an eye on this one... it's upstream from our dock and our dock doesn't need any more pressure, that's for sure.
  9. More info and pics on this forum http://www.1branson.com/forum/t34356.html
  10. Radio is reporting Table Rock is adding another 13,000 cfs bringing the amount to 43,000 cfs in the next hour. Going from 20k to 30k added about 2.5 feet here so we may get another 3 feet or so. Bill said someone told him that Powersite it now underwater. There's no difference in water level between Taneycomo and upper Bull Shoals.
  11. Water is about 18 inches over our road in the back. It's a good 5 feet short of our lower units but we moved everything out just in case. We took a boat ride about an hour after they kicked on 5 more gates. People on the observation hill were clicking pics at us... funny tourist. I didn't get one of the gates... absent minded. But got some good video. Docks are holding up pretty good. Some are twisting and turning and tipping in the water a bit. If one goes in a line, they all will. Keep an eye on the web cam- you might see one go by. Here's some pics. The last 2 images were taken this morning by Wily. My internet is real slow right now- images are still being uploaded.

  13. 5 more gates just opened at Table Rock. 20,000 to 30,000 cfs released. Not here at our dock yet. We'll see. Watch the cam.
  14. Clay- saw you in BP yesterday but didn't know it was you till you left. Level is dropping out here but... it's short-lived. Got a pretty good tip that Beaver will double cfs this afternoon because what they are releasing now isn't keeping up. When they do that, TR will double its cfs. More rain this afternoon and now they're saying tornadoes.
  15. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Repo...Data/Beaver.htm At 3 am, Beaver Dam started releasing more than 8000 cfs, more than doubling it's output. Table Rock has only risen 9 inches but that's not real time. It has to be shooting up at any time. Our level at the resort has risen about 2-3 feet but it's from back flooding and not increase release from Table Rock. Bull Shoals has risen 12 inches in 24 hours but that's about what it's been doing. We have another 4-5 hours of rain it looks like according to the radar. It doesn't look good. I'll tilt the webcam or move it so that it shows the water level better later this morning.

  17. 2,000 HP Outboard Inflatable .. Here's the latest drug runner toy from Europe This thing belts across the English channel 3 times per week and was just a bluron the radar ofthe British Coast Guard. They were so astonished by the speed of the unknown craft, they brought in a special high speed helicopter to chase it. Drugs were found on board of course, you'd have to be on drugs to put the throttle down on this rig.
  18. Mr Babler, J.L. (SKMO) arrived at an access just south of the MO border... Bill can tell you what the access name is. The lake was backed up about a mile up from this point and that's where we headed. Saw 2 other boats all evening- one down from the ramp and one up. The guy up was trolling something and catching fish. We found out later he caught his limit of whites and one big walleye. We ended up catching alot of whites, all males and mostly small. We kept 24 one-pounders- good eaters. Mostly on white swimming minnows, white or purple jig and a few on other colors of sm's. Found them in slack water off current. Water temp 53, green, dingy water. Great fishing!! Left at dark at the first crack of lightning.
  19. Had guys go out today and did pretty good. Most went to the dam and drifted. Some of the guides reported lots of shad in the water coming over the flood gates. The trout weren't taking white anything so they drifted red san juans and scuds and did very well. With this info, I sent some guys out this afternoon with the latter flies. They had a great afternoon yesterday on white jigs and rabbit leaches but I told them about the shad "problem" so they said they would try them. The reported to me this evening they did good on all the above- some catching some of the largest rainbows of their angling lives. Cool!
  20. In saying all that, TR's level is now 726.6. It has dropped 8 inches just today so it's on the way down fast. BUT with the rains now and tonight and tomorrow, it will head back up, but how much is yet to be seen. Following this thought, the same thing will happen on Bull Shoals and at Bull Shoals Dam, as well as Norfork. The Corp will not release additional water until they have to- when the lake gets to the top of the flood pool. I'm sure there's exceptions to the rule but one thing is for sure- when BS's level reaches the top of the pool, and it will very soon, Bull Shoals Dam will not be a dam anymore, it will be a spillway, unable to control its flow. Another scary thought- BS's watershed will change from it's normal area to the whole White River Water Basin because at that time, all the dams in the chain will be spilling their water thru the whole system. Now you see the potential full impact of this event.
  21. They will only open the dam to the north (or the auxillery) dam if Beaver Dam breaks. Now this is new news, for me anyhow. I've been miffed at the Corp why they've kept Beaver Lake's level right at the top of the flood gate or flood pool. As some are saying, the waves are lapping over the top of the flood gates. Now I understand. Beaver is the first in the chain of lakes. They are letting just enough water out of Beaver to keep the level where it is. It's acting as a spillway essentially. They will do the same thing with Table Rock. This revelation came as a news article in a paper tonight. They won't let any more water out of Table Rock UNTIL it's level reaches 931 or the top of the flood gate. Then they will let out enough water so as to not let the water spill over the top of the gates. Again- the floods gates will act as a spillway. The water they will let through will match the water running into Table Rock. That's why they have no idea how much or how high it will go.
  22. Yes it would be in the parking lot and shelter I would think. We're pulling boats out because our dock is the only thing that will be affected by this event. I have no idea what higher and faster water will do to our dock so why take the chance? We won't be letting any boats out anyhow thru this. You're in a completely different situation down there. Your water level won't rise much at all. Thanks Don.
  23. The powers that be in Taney County met with the Corp this afternoon. The Corp advised that IF the current predictions of 4-6 inches of additional rain occur tomorrow night and Thursday, they will open the flood gates at Table Rock Dam further. Worse case scenario is an unknown as far as exact water levels. Western Taney County Fire personnel came by this evening and met with us and gave us the news. He gave us the following details: Presently releasing 20,000 cfs. Lake level at the dam is 713.1 and 702.2 at Powersite Dam (lower lake). In 1961, the Corp released 30,000 cfs, the most ever released from TRD. That raised the level of the tailwater to 717.0- an increase of 4 feet. Worse case at this point, it is reported, is set at 60,000 cfs. They are guessing that could mean 10 feet more water or 727 feet, but that's only a guess. What that level would be here is questionable. Ten feet more water would not get into any of our units but barely. We know that water will spread out before it gets here. Not sure what it would do to our dock. We are going to start pulling our boats out first thing in the morning. The Corp doesn't do anything in related to a prediction. They won't release more water today in anticiaption of rain tomorrow. When it happens, they will release water. There will be no warning. We have had all the warning we're going to get. Some residents on the Hollister side, uplake, have already evacuated including a gal that works for us. What this does to Bull Shoals- it's your guess. I've been saying for a week now that something is going to have to happen down there. There's just too much water and more is coming. If I had a place below BSD I'd be making preparations tomorrow!! To our guests who have reservations... we will not hold anyone to deposits or penalties for cancellation but I wouldn't act too quickly. We've all seen these rains pass us by untouched. But it's up to you. Pray for us and all other affected by this event. It's all just "stuff" unless someone really gets hurt. And please don't ask what it will do to the fishing... The trout will be fine. They won't get washed away. Probably will find lots more to eat out of all this. I'm sure it'll be good but I don't think you'll see us fishing too much IF IT HAPPENS AT ALL.
  24. Goggleye bite in June on grubs- great to put clients on when bass are slow and good to eat. Buster will kill me if he finds out I gave up his spot... but I did it last year too so... there.
  25. No I didn't. Send them again please.
