  1. Springfield got up to 2 inches so the James will see a rise. But TR can handle quite a bit, enough to absorb that. No water from Beaver.
  2. Cristabol was a dud. Rejoice! Praise the Lord!!
  3. Slow rain... that must help. Beaver's hardly getting anything. Most of TR is less than 1/2 inch so far. We're sitting on an inch. BS isn't getting pounded like they said it would. Stops about 2 am here. We'll see.
  4. What does 80k do to the Riley's?
  5. Next week!? Oh you'll be fine. Actually it will be awesome fishing. Oh wait you said TR. Levels should be about the same. High. You'll have to ask @Bill Babler about bass fishing.
  6. I don't know much about this but there is another reason they might not like to drop PP levels - head pressure. The more water in the lake, the higher head pressure which is a good thing when generating electricity.
  7. I hope it's just 60k.
  8. According to their "rules", nothing really can be done about these releases NOW. The action that's needed should have happened earlier in the year when they could have released water without restriction. In other words, work to keep the lakes lower in the winter. Reset the power pool levels - drop them by 5 feet? If the minimum flow below BS that added several feet to the PP's of all 3 lakes above it is causing some of this flooding, then do away with it and drop the PP to what they were. This will help but I think they should drop them by even more. Better to have low levels in the summer than killer releases...
  9. Keeps moving east... but still I don't trust it. Still nervous. Bought plywood at Lowe's tonight... and a lot of caulk.
  10. Check out the rain forecast for Tuesday... if they get that rain, they'll let loose of water and no way you'll get on that river. Keep it in mind... not saying to change your plans. But the rain forecast looks pretty ominous.
  11. My point - why just stripers?
  12. It is trending east... that's huge for us. But Bull Shoals and the White River... not good. I hope they can stay on top of it.
  13. So no stocking of fish of any kind in Arkansas... wow
  14. I saw your comment and thought - oh my it's really getting out of hand. Then I see you're talking about a movie.
  15. I pinned this topic so that everybody can chime in with info on ramps. I'll leave this pinned until the lake starts dropping.
  16. There's a couple of topics on the subject. If those don't help, be more specific to where you want to go on TR.
  17. Plus the front half of the rails are too low. I need higher rails for a rental. So we'll replace all that.
  18. Yes. The doors are good but the side frames are pretty beat up.
  19. We were trying to figure what that would look like. Sounds interesting. We're going to have the rails custom built by a guy here in town. Add clips to the rails and install barn wood for side panels. Yes it will have a hillbilly feel to it.
  20. Do you have any pictures of the toolbox console? Sounds interesting.
  21. Been hearing stories about how great the fishing is below PS even with the high water levels. Even fishing off the bank... bid drum, trout, some walleye. Some boats are launching but not sure where. If some of you have been, let us know where to launch.
  22. Peg the bead with a toothpick. Easy. We do it all the time in AK. You can peg a bead 2 inches from a bare hook and catch fish.
  23. It was an old 1990 Generation, 24 foot pontoon we bought new. Been sitting for awhile. Stripped it down to the frame. We’re talking to a welder here about building custom rails for it. Center console with livewell built in. Rest of it may be open floor. Want to put movable chairs in it. We’ll call it the Trout Machine.
  24. I took some pics yesterday after I started removing the floor. I didn't think about documenting it till then - but it's a good idea. I'll start the thread now.
