  1. Bring a boat if you can. LT's level will probably be about 712-13 ft
  2. Next weekend will be interesting... still planning on it.
  3. After yesterday's rain, Table Rock is expected to rise to 927, according to the COE. Flood gates as well as turbines will run starting tomorrow until the lake is down to manageable levels. Might take as long as a week.
  4. Been told by an COE informant that Table Rock will crest at 927 ft mid week next week. TR Dam is shut down at the moment to allow flood waters to fall out of Taneycomo before opening gates. 20,000 cfs is expected sometime tonight to tomorrow and will continue until Table Rock's level drops to manageable levels. Water coming over the top will be rich in O2 while the water thru the turbines will be low in O2. Trout will migrate to the outlets on the north side and to the south side where water temps should be decent for trout. I also might add... I believe there will be a good number of shad coming over the top of the dam. This might be some of the best fishing conditions we'll see in the next few years. Just have to get out in a boat to take advantage of it. I will!
  5. I have not read it. I may be way off but supposing the feds want to put restrictions on fishing on lakes and rivers in the US. Could they or is that overstepping their bounds on states? OR would the feds restrict waters that are controlled by feds, like the Corp? Corp lakes. Buffalo River. Again, I could be way off. I honestly think any suggestion any committee makes about restricting fishing in this country would be met by so much opposition that it would be almost laughable to think they would actually do something. Just give it some time... and watch it closely.
  6. Your phone number is wrong...
  7. Sorry- this hasn't been "daily" ramblings... Since I've been gone, the Corp has decided to run water AHEAD of rains forecasted for the area. The floods of 08 changed the way the Corps run water - you noticed? Even during the heavy rains in March and April of 08, we all were wondering why the Corp wasn't running water ahead of rains or forecasted rains - remember? We said they don't run water unless the water is THERE and needs to be moved. Now, it's different. They ran 100 mw all day today and will run 150 mw tomorrow, according to their schedule. That's above their self-imposed limit of 110 mw, due to low DO. With 150 mw, they'll have to inject alot of O2. Thank goodness the temp is low - 50 degrees. The rain missed Branson for the most part. We didn't get the hard rains but just north and west of us did. We'll have to watch Table Rock's level here in the next 24 hours and see what it does. It's been steadily dropping the last 5 days.
  8. Although this is political, I won't delete it because it pertains to fishing. If anything else come to light, please post it. But for now, it's obvious that everyone's taking sides and not really presenting any further facts so... this is closed.
  9. Some spammers aren't smart - Buy Tamiflu Do I let him in?
  10. Very nice. I'll be in contact soon.
  11. BillyGails... will have to look that up. Welcome to the Ozarks...
  12. Am in Texas visiting Sara and Josh and Jeriah. I'm heading back Wednesday - Marsha is staying a week. When I left home it was 51 degrees. It was 80 when we arrived at 1 am. Big diff!
  13. Would be tough to change those who are here already.... I've been thrilled with the new members so far that have registered yesterday and today. Even the spammer who tried to register last night - screen name - buy rx viagra He made himself pretty clear!
  14. No one is going to get banned. I'm talking about ppl who have not registered that are thinking about it... I just added this language to the rules section... so far it's worked. For example I deleted - yaoeios, myroink09, Fiernerhate all spammers. These were easy. Some are not. Paumpex09 got me in trouble with posting porn. He's deleted. hekistner is a real guy but had to email him to make sure. Now do you understand?
  15. Added to the rules and info when registering... IF YOU DON'T USE REAL WORDS FOR A SCREEN NAME, YOU WILL BE DENIED MEMBERSHIP!! I will not GUESS whether a person registering is a REAL person or a SPAMMER any longer. If you are NOT clear in using a screen name that is YOUR NAME or a PROPER name of some kind, preferably FISHING related, then you're out of luck. No more guessing. People register using their email settings which sometimes are letters and numbers or letters signifying something to you but makes no sense. No more. Spammers are starting to use names and words that make some sense. Then me and Dan are left to send an email asking if you're REAL OR NOT? No more. If you don't register with a name that isn't recognizable to us as a real ANGLER who is interested in FISHING - or HUNTING or something REAL, then you will not be validated - period. No more smut - no more viagra. No more guessing on our part. The responsibility is yours.
  16. Gotta be careful of those gills... one jolt and you've lethally damaged him. I know it's hard to hold and control big trout for a pic. Best thing is to stay in the water, keep the fish in the water and lift the fish for a pic. And I know that always can't be done... not getting on the gentleman... thanks for the pic and thank for releasing it. It is one beautiful rainbow!! And it's a good pic.
  17. Anybody going? Marsha and I will be there....
  18. You might check out upper Bull Shoals... K Dock area.
  19. Come down to our place and you'll see Ospreys and Bald Eagles. More Osprey's than eagles but I've seen both just today on the lake. Lots of blue herons and kingfishers too. http://lilleyslanding.com
  20. Great report!! Thanks.
  21. Looks like generation is about the same everyday... off in am and 1 unit in pm. Both are wadeable. It really is easy wading if you take a boat up to Andy's house and wade the shallow side, even when the water is running. No one does this. You can take a jon and use an anchor and fish the shallow side too. Use the anchor to hold you to fish one area, then move down. Not much midge action which I'm really disappointed in or soft hackles would work. I haven't tried woolies but they may work on the shallow side. You might wade in to Pointe Royale area and try there. Seems to be less crowded.
  22. I had a heck of a time with the internet last night. It's been slow-slow lately - I'm callin' them today Went out after 6. Water was perfect- one unit. Wanted to see if I could catch a brown so white was the color. Saw 3 browns jump as I was fishing the bluff bank from Lookout down. I've seen no problem with the oxygen lately as far as fish not fighting.
