  1. Well... Here I sit watching the cards get KILLED by Philly- I thought Bill was going to post a report on his trip on tc yesterdfay- so I have to on Blackberry. He did real well drifting bugs fgrom the cable to outlet 3, catching some real nice rainbows. Maybe now he'll follow up.....
  2. I feel your pain. Was looking forward to a good crappie season on the Rock but I haven't even tried. No reports at all. It could be a combination of low population and too much water. Come 3 years and we should see lots of crappie.
  3. Flatlander- should be better now.
  4. Most of you know the camp I go to in Alaska. I built a cabin on a friend's place near King Salmon, AK on the Naknek River last summer. We also built a large cabin for the owners next to their dining hall. Both burned to the ground last night. The family got out ok. They were able to get alot fo their clothes out before the cabin caught fire. They lost everything in the hall including all their fishing equipment and gear as well as a computer and guest/booking information. They are regrouping. They have a couple viable options that will keep them from being knocked out of their season. They'll be fine. But could use our prayers... for wisdom and for resourses.
  5. I give... where is Buffalo Creek?
  6. Hatch- we only have midges. Seems like if we have any right now it's early and late in the day.

  8. I think the statement about the brown was copy/pasted and is an old article. Of course the brown trout state record has been broke twice since, both on Taneycomo. We found a brown about 10 years ago dead, floating up from the dock that measured 44 inches long. It had been dead long enough that the girth was probably bloated and inacurate so the weight is unknown. But it's possible it could have been larger than the world record- it was longer. Some have seen larger browns. We've seen them as large or larger under our dock but it's been a few years since we've seen them.
  9. Great post JL!! I know people troll one cove to the north of Big Cedar- Clevenger- and do pretty well. We are still looking for the whites to show up in several areas for the early morning bite- some areas they have been the last few years. I'm sure word will leak out when they do show.
  10. Now you got 2 times the chance to get answers... You caught me- I do move posts when they are obviously in the wrong place to get better coverage. But never heard of a Buffalo Creek in Missouri. Carry on.
  11. No- I reduced the map image size. Didn't realize it was so big. Thanks for the info- more the better.
  12. If you haven't been out there, you're missing a real treat. Lampe- west of Dogwood Canyon. http://www.persimmonhill.com/ Gotta try a Thunder Muffin!!!! We're going next Wednesday.
  13. Little nicer size- sorry.
  14. To be honest Rich, I don't use them. If I fished the lower lake at all, I would. I use one when I get up to Table Rock.
  15. Neither am I
  16. This is alittle scary! Thom- keep me informed if this keeps happening or if it happens again. Anyone else having problems?
  17. BoJack- who says they expect a tip? RedBird- are you a lawyer? Both you guys are assuming alot with both statements. I just don't understand for the life of me why one or two people aways has to slap the hand that feeds you. Sometimes I'm surprised we have any "guides" here at all. May be someday we won't. I'm sure you guys will find someone else to throw stones at.
  18. Permission is for other websites that want to repint the image... it's 100% alright for anyone to print it and use it.
  19. Does the writer has a name? Great pic.
  20. You should try to sell #1 on a one of the sites you sell you pics... that's an awesome image!
  21. Good eats!! I'm sure you had a graet time.
  22. This forum is about 2.5 years old and the question about keeping fish has been discussed many times. There are anglers on both sides of the issue and some on either side feel very strongly about it. In saying that, I would remind everyone if you want to discuss it, be nice. There's nothing wrong about keeping fish and there's nothing wrong with catch-n-release. Thank you very much for the report.
