  17. Went to Big Brutis pit on Friday. Caught 14 crappie almost right on the bank. Maybe 2 ft deep. All but 2 were male. Caught them on minnows and white marabou jigs. They were biting best right before dark.
  18. I guess the state stock them in some of the pits around columbus. Not sure which ones except for the one I caught one in.
  19. Unfortunately we didn't catch any crappie. However, my daughter caught all she could handle. We were trying to get into some crappie, but got into some big bluegill and small bass instead. Boy did she have fun. She used a bobber and minnow set at about 3-4 feet deep. She was actually catching so many that between taking fish off and baiting line, didn't have much time to fish myself. We fished in area 22. We took home the 7 biggest Bluegill and 2 small bass and cleaned them.
  20. Anyone been over to the pits lately? How is fishing. Taking my daughter tonight.
  21. I have done well with flicker shad. However, I Have had more success on my Fire Tiger Hot-n-Tot.
  22. Fishing from a Boat.
  23. Caught one by accident once bass fishing. Does anyone know what techniques work best for targeting walleye in the pits ? Also, what pits hold good numbers of walleye? Thanks in advance.
  24. Caught this bad boy on a rainbow trout colored crank bait in the trout pit last summer.
