I was way up stream on long creek this morning. Saw a lot of gar, does that usually mean bad fishing? I didnt catch much down there but the gar were beating up flies all night. I was hoping to get into some smallies but didnt fish real long after no luck. And is it too early for crawdads on a carolina rig? Caught the smallie in the below picture near indian point a couple weeks ago, just showing it off;)
