  1. I agree with mudshark, and rhe appreciation is beyond this forum. JR at the lodging we had, folks at thw bait shops and boat ramps were aswalys willing to talk and socialize. My family had a wonderful time on vacation and thanks to all for your assistance catching limits of eyes. You dont find this hospitality and quality fishing 5 hours north in iowa. I will be back thats for sure. Good fishing and tight lines boys. Better catchem while you can because with this heat I think they are about to dive deep.....
  2. Wife and I got our limits today aswell. Man is this lake a gem. We have been having a blast. Largest today was 19. A lot of shorts to sort thru and find the keepers. This fish are really agressive too.
  3. Yeah okay, thanks for the info. I appreciate the help. Tight Lines!!
  4. 8Lb is what I use too with a red hook.
  5. Thanks for the info. Good question on why Stockton. I have been keeping an eye on it recently due to the stocking numbers from the state. I haven't fished Mozingo yet in NW Mo but will as well at some point. I am not really after size but decent quantity. If I want size I go to Sturgeon Bay, Lake Erie, or the Dakota's (back where I was raised). I enjoy catching large quantity of eaters as well as keeping my kids busy fishing. My wife is from Kirksville and has a lot of family in Joplin so we are going to see some family down there as well. The real question is will there be fish willing to bite? If so where are they? Council Bluffs is 2 hrs West of me
  6. Oh yeah thanks for the information boys. I have the lakemaster chip so I should be able to find some flats and submerged points. I have some spots in mind just looking on google earth but man this lake looks big especially on a windy day. I plan on just using the new Orleans trail boat ramp then. Thanks for the bridge construction info, that good to know. Lets hope we are able to a net wet. Thanks for the information again, its much appreciated.
  7. I like the plain SD hook on a fluorocarbon leader, but I do like your idea and may start tying some rigs up tonight before I head down.
  8. So we are coming down from Iowa for a family vacation for the entire week next week. We are looking to get on some Missouri Walleye for a change. We are staying in a cabin on the north side outside Stockton. I am new to this site , but this forum seems to very helpful which is nice to see. Is there any baitshops in Stockton? Grocery Store? Where can a guy get 91% Octane boat fuel? I plan on finding some rocky points and try different depths but does this lake have any large mud flats for the hot days? Which public boat ramp is good to use on the west side to get to the south and North side of the lake to find fish? Are the public ramps free of charge? Are there any fishing regs for 2 or 3 hook crawler harnesses? Any help would be much appreciated
