We finished 5th in angler of the year this year. Our idea was to fish for a limit first then go hunt for big fish. But that’s our idea every time. Beaver just isnt the type lake to go chase 4 pounders. Very rarely do you even catch one over 4 on tournament day lol!

Fished the Everett championship this past weekend. Whew! Practiced two days thurs/fri and really had a tough bite. Tried to find some top water action both days and never did. First day of the tournament same thing. No top action. Figured with the rain they would be up chasing shad on top. We had to move out and catch Kys in 20-30 ft of water on dropshots. Sunday was high pressure blue bird skys and man t was that much tougher. Hopefully they start eating soon. Some guys caught them really good. Not us. We weighed in 7.5 lbs a day with all spots. No bueno.
