    Just went and watched my nephews first weigh in, rough day for most but still high 12 lb bags and big bass was 7 lb.

    I did not use a locking wrap on this one I might try it on the next one...the reel seat is just one that came in the kit, mudhole has really nice turn key kits to get started with

    Built my first rod last weekend. 7 foot light action spinning. Turned out pretty darn good for my first one

    I have a kayak too and have gone with some friends with small boats but so much easier launching both when u dont have to wade in the mud

    I expect to hear some more reports back... unfortunately I wont be able to make it out this year, I have a foot reconstructive surgery Wednesday and will be played up till mid april... I was looking forward to getting my new ascend out too

    I was at a family get together Saturday and my was told that a friend had been going to the steel bridge and limiting out before work last week

    I've never made a special trip just for walleye but I always hear of people going to the dam about the end of February and throw jerkbaits and it sounds like a lot of fun

    Thanks for the info, i live about 10 minutes from charity, ive never spent much time there but i was hoping to find a close spot to do an easy kayak float
