The Electric Company says they have to raise costs and can't be reliable. The Electric Company says they will not pay for extra. So pee on them set up don't hook in. We was created after 9/11 with not much to deal with and I don't think many knew what to do. My wife is Office Manager and PIO. Get this they gave her a raise but cut her hours. Me I'm Volunteer because my wife works for wages. I'm a Chief but anymore can't do my Job because of health but Boss likes me so I'm still there. Funny I'm to keep Vehicles going, Haul Stuff, and make sure things are done safely. First one I wrote up was Deputy Director for unloading a Truck by himself. Supposed to be two people. I can't do this anymore I can't drive, I lay down I can't get back up, I can't hear and I use to carry my Pistol on my left side and I could fix it where I could carry on my right side but best I don't do Security. My wife got jumped for not having her Pistol at the Conference. I mentioned to my wife about using Taxpayer money for the Conference. She says it is paid for with a Grant but she said really Taxpayers pay for everything. oneshot

I'm looking into the future. If our forest becomes predominantly Pine will Wild Game have a Pine taste? I know when we lived in the mountains locals justified poaching because meat tasted like Sage. oneshot

We are DHS. Where we are needed we set up a trailer with Radios and such. If we are deployed we make $50 an hour. But we can only be deployed so long then we have a relief come in. I told my Boss he needed to find someone besides me. Oh let the young guys do it you supervise because you know what to do. oneshot

They need Hot Coffee and Water pretty regular . They are miles from any Restaurant after awhile they need food and it is not feasible to have them go somewhere else to eat. I have been to fires and did nothing but haul Firefighters to an other area. We usually set up Command Center there anyway and bring food and water out. This is one place they could use a Drone. Instead we got use of a Helicopter but I like Infrared for Search and Rescue especially at night. I brought up us getting a Drone. I got one but the whole SE part of the state can use it. oneshot

The higher ups that control the money. They are in Kansas City have no idea. We asked for a regular Food Truck for Firefighters on Wild Fires. They tell us maybe all they need is a Sandwich and something to drink. They don't understand that here they may be there for days. We are alloted so much per year and we request for what ever. Then they have a meeting, which my wife goes every so often. It is decided if something can be done cheaper and whether or not to grant their request. Then we put in for grants for other funds for stuff. I have never figured out why when I was driving. I would get a load and knew it was going to Ft. Lenardwood but would bring it here, unload it, then couple days later reload and take it on up there. We helped with COVID shots and all. We had mass injuries from a pile up. We was sending them to this one Hospital. They got to where they wouldn't take them. Few phone calls they was more than willing to take them. We got Air Drive Boats found out real fast they were worthless during flooding. I could go on and on. oneshot

They was thinking Satellite was the way for Computers because it was cheaper. Well the first storm we had,went in turn on Computers nothing so we went home. Then we hear why we're you not there? Because we need Computers to monitor and with Satellite there is none so we couldn't do our Job why waste time. As far as the Conference we get to see what others are doing and see stuff that might help. Plus we have classes, I went to three. They cut paying for our room one day and cut down paying for some of or mileage. oneshot
