Dano great advice... What size scuds do you tie? Roughly same size? Could you possibly sneak up to a 14 on both the egg on scuds on highwater?
-
Outstanding. Thanks for the advice. I hear these are deadly at taney. Can you fish these in during generation? Or would you prefer something heavier? midge's etc?
-
Thanks Dano, which color eggs do you tie? Also do you weight them down at all? on a jig head perhaps? split shot? Or just time them in and let them drift down. Does the mcfly foam or yarn tend to sink when wet? Sorry for ignorance, never have fished them or tied them on, but I hear their great

Hey guys, I bought a pair of l2 simms boots, just the felt kind without the studs. But I purchased the studs for them, and since wearing the boots in taney in Sept, I cant tell where the marks are for the studs. Does simms or anyone have a pattern that I could print out, and cut to size to mark the holes on the bottom? Thanks in advance guys!

Well I too think that Benny should be held responsible. Im glad to see someone taking act and trying to clean this up, however I dont think it should come out of taxes. Why would the judge allow that. This slime is the whole problem. Have the state pay to stop the bleeding get in the court room, and have this joker reimburse the money it costs. I was just down there and the conditions were horrible. I couldnt see 2ft into the river when generation was running and when it rained. Very sad to say the least Again sorry for not getting the pics Terry... Needless to say my wife is no longer in charge of the camera dept in my household

Hope this goes alot smoother than what is going on to the norfork Development planned on White River BULL SHOALS — The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a plat for a new neighborhood on unincorporated land on the west bank of the White River. Records show the subdivision, Cane Island Estates, is to hold more than 120 lots on about 200 acres of former pasture south of Bull Shoals city limits. According to a covenant document, McCracken Hames Development LLC plans to build single-family homes on the lots. A stormwater pollution prevention plan required by law is posted at the site, according to a document signed by Danny Hames, president of McCracken Hames Development LLC. Flippin is to provide water service to the neighborhood, and Marion County is to assume responsibility for a new road to the area. The developer has put in a waste disposal system for the subdivision, which received a permit from the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. The plat approval that passed the committee unanimously is contingent upon Marion County annexing the roads. Two other conditions are the final approval by the Flippin water department and the ADEQ's certification of the waste disposal system, which would occur after the first homeowner moved in. Dave Plahm, a contractor working with Hames, told the committee that the developer needed approval of the plat to sell the residential lots. The property is within five miles of Bull Shoals city limits, the area over which the committee has jurisdiction. Property taxes from the subdivision are to go directly to the county government, said Wayne Almond, interim committee chair. In other business at the end of the meeting, resident Rosemary Blus presented the committee with a petition she said 25 residents had signed. She said the petition suggests building codes require garages and storage units at residences be no larger than the living space at the residence. The garage restriction and other provisions of the petition reflect the attitudes of residents of the Ferncliff Point neighborhood regarding their neighbor Raymond Plaster's recent construction, she said.

Sorry guys, I packed the camera, but the wife didnt charge the darn battery Two units online everyday from Thurs through Sat morning. On Sat morning they had 1 unit online. It was raining pretty good that day, and the tailwater was really murky. Fly fishing was absolutely worthless. Everyone that was in our camp caught their fish on countdown rapalas. One guy wound up cathing a nice cutthroat around 2 1/4 lbs. Overall fishing was not well at all, however it was still worth the trip to fish for four days. I think we may change our future destination to taney... This couldnt of been the place that I had been before that is for sure. Fishing just didnt seem right at all
-
Absolutely, I plan on taking some pics, I hope I can get some good ones for you.
-
Yep will do. Thanks Dan.

Taking the camera, hoping to get some shots of the damage that is going on, and some other shots of the river. Anyone else going to be fishing this weekend? Thunderstorms likely on Sat, so hopefully tomorrow and Fri are great
-
beautiful fish. Im glad the fishing was good. I cant wait to leave this upcoming Thurs to go fishing at norfork. Since were off for the holiday this coming Mon, I only have to work two days this week and then hopefully four great days for some fishing
-
Thanks John. I still need to tie on some flies, I leave in two weeks for Gene's.. Im pretty psyched about getting down there, and fishing.
-
Any pics for this?
-
John, excellent report! Do you think that this will lead to the generators not running?
-
Showed up around 11:30 on Sat, generation, I would think around 2 units.. Not too bad fishing, caught a couple right off the bat, and several more, and kind of went quiet. Did well on P&P pattern on Sat Sunday morning water was up big time around 7:30am... Slowly dropped throughout the morning till around 12 or 1 or so they stopped generating. Water plummeted Did really well once that happened on a size 16 soft hackle, and found some holes, and they were taking the P&P well and a v-rib midge blood red #18 All in all, a great weekend, pretty chilly yesterday, but again beats working which unfortunately I now have returned too.. Good fishing boys!
