I fished near the dam and from our Airbnb dock across from Fall Creek Marina in '23, a week after Labor Day. With low generation, the water at the BnB (3 miles downstream) was too deep for wading. How far downstream do wading opportunities usually end?
Fishing during low generation at the BnB was incredible—best trout fishing I’ve ever had, especially at night. Is nighttime wading allowed near the dam? If so, any tips? I do some night fishing in areas with mixed mud, rock, and more mud—tricky, but very different from Taney.
Another thing is using a float tube. The fishing type. I know its way too dangerous when there is a good flow, but how about when there is low generation in the lower parts? Will trout still be down there this time of year and would it be safe to use a float tube?
