Never fished Bagnell dam before but went to scout it out last week. Can you throw a throw net at Bagnell dam for shad? If so where would be good to throw the net? I saw the "no fishing" signs that prevent fishing any closer to the dam but was wondering if you could go to the wing walls near the dam or right at the dam itself to throw the net for shad. I did a deep dive online search and the information I found said "yes" and other information said "no". I apologize for asking such rookie questions but I've never fished here before and I don't want to violate any laws but still catch shad. Thank you in advance.

Went to Bagnell dam for the first time last week to look around and scout it out. A few fisherman from the shore, everyone was very nice and friendly. The water was really clear. I was wondering when will the white bass really start to show up at the dam? One fellow I met said mid March and all the way through April. I've only lived here for one full year now and haven't really established the fishing patterns yet in my mind. Thank you to everyone in advance.

I'm brand new to the area having lived here now a little more than a year. Any tips of thoughts on the best artificial baits to use below the Bagnell dam for white bass and/or hybids. I'm all catch and release just looking for some fun.

I'm considering going down below Bagnell Dam at Lake of the Ozarks for white bass and hybrids. I am brand new to this area and any thoughts and ideas would be helpful.
