  1. Trav, had a guy look at my bass tracker that was looking for something more that size. I will pass it on, pm u if he is interested.
  2. All sound great, the only two I would add is white and purple swimming minnows on 1/16 heads, and my go to bait when nothing else works is a white 1/4 oz jigging spoon with a black dot painted on it. When they start boiling in the lake u can almost always reach them with it, throws a mile on a spinning rig, and just pump it back to the boat. When they go down, drop it down to catch the stragglers. Side note, caught my biggest bass ever on 1/4 jigging spoon, bouncing it of the bottom right after the whites moved. 8.5 lbs, around 8 years ago.
  3. there is always some earlies. and with the numbers of tiny dinks last year, they have to be somewhere. dont know the temp, figure it around 45.
  4. Tightline, Just heard today, fishing pal of mine lives at McCord Bend. They caught 14 this weekend on saturday and had some friends catch some sunday. He heard there were boats at Blunks catching them fast for awhile across from the ramp. Some are already up the river, they are just waiting for a few degrees to move up and feed.
  5. Thanks for the info guys, anyone else got more?
  6. bout the same for me. Flat calm water and no bites.
  7. My question is does anyone use the onboard battery chargers and how do u like them? Have one on my old boat and it has never failed me. But talking to a buddy that goes alot says that they dont charge the battery enough or hot enough if you run them down all the way to get it back to 100%. With my old boat, being a bass tracker, never had the problem he says because it never toke much of the battery life to pull it around. What do u guys use and what would everyone suggest? Want to set up the new boat the best I can the first time. Thanks
  8. Thats awesome, Thanks again Lilley. Sorry to hear about the boat. Put in on the rock this morning at 10. fished till 130. Partner caught one kentucky bout 2.5 but spit the grub at the boat. Only bite we had. Fished sticks and grubs all day. Did I metion it was calm, perfectly flat water everywhere.
  9. LOL, nice pun Bill. Taking a buddy tomorrow on the rock, going to throw sticks and grubs around point 5 most of the day. He has never fished this way so should be interesting. I will post findings afterwards. Say Hi to Beck for me, u should get him on here some. Good luck guys.
  10. I had a question I forgot to ask at the end. Bill, one of the sticks u had was called a fint I believe. Who makes it and have u fished it much?
  11. Wonderful seminar on stickbaits, just wanted to say thanks to Bill Babler and Phil. Reinforced a lot and learned some new tricks that hope to try out soon. If u didnt make it, you missed out.
  12. Tritonbass, post it on here when u decide. Would love to have a shot at it but trading boats as we speak and dont think I can afford the upgrade this year, but how knows, and im sure others would be interested.

  14. Thanks techno, theres more than her out there. been wondering how much she would weigh swollen with eggs... Anyways, thanks guys. Guess I will just have to sit for awhile on it. Would sell the boat to my best friend as I have great faith in her, so if anyone knows someone thinking, let them know for me. Constructions slow so holding both is going to be hard but I will survive.
  15. ya, its listed on craigslist also. not to many interested right now. Maybe ill have to wait till it warms up some.
  16. Ok guys, over 150 views no responses. Give me some input. Am I asking to much or is it just to cold out for most people to think about buying a fishing boat???
  17. Sup, glad to have ya.
  18. There are so many tiny tiny things on this lake, that make such a huge difference, Im with them and use a guide. Such clear water and fishing pressure makes the rock a temper mental girlfriend to come see once a year, situations and stratagies change like our weather (which its snowing AGAIN as I type). We can send u in the right direction, but miss one of like 6 small things and you might be shut out completely. A guide will take your hand and show u all 6 and explain why so that u understand how to do it next time.
  19. Thanks guys, just right place right time. Not my biggest of the rock but biggest for a couple years. To me its like hunting, you will never catch one like it sitting on the couch at the house. Cold, rain, snow, wind; just take the chance and go...
  20. nice Bill, see thats why your the pro and im the am...lol. See u tuesday.
  21. Personally have been out with Bill Beck twice now, wonderful information. Would not hesitate to use Babler, House, or Prey otherwise.
  22. Sorry, should have detailed the post. Caught it around 3 yesterday. Just up the white the main lake. Dont know the area well yet but learning. Found a huge group of shad on a channel swing in 40 foot of water, the graph wouldnt even find the bottom. No wind and no sun, the stick wouldnt get hit so was throwing grubs. It hit so light, felt like I was pulling over a limb till it shook its head and I set the hook. 6lb florocarbon got it to the boat.
  23. Bill, wasnt to cold. Just right today. only couple bites, partner lost one quality fish, released one 16", picture was the only bite I got. 7lb.
  24. Saw four of the big boys in kimberling city this morning around 8. Saw two on the water around 1.
  25. New pics, all clean and ready to go.
