There is a reason for the license, if someone doesnt take the time to get it, then i would not want to be on-board. Just like having a license to do construction. Some people are just dont get it, such a wonderful forum and as in life, a very small percentage mess things up for all the others that care about something. Thanks to Bill, Eric, Don and all the others that post to help out the little guys. Dont let the trolls get under your skin, the rest of us can never repay the help and advise.

Ok, guess it was a bad decision not to go this afternoon. I had a rough time saturday, and after reading all your reports, i felt better about it. So i didnt go out today, cause the high pressure is still around. But i guess the fish had to start eating again sometime. So, for the pros, why did they start eating better today, before the next front gets here??? Any ideas?

Bill, are the whites just running in the morning? looked for them yesterday and no luck. was out from noon till after dark. thinking of going saturday morning early early and wanted to take a friend. Been doing good on bass lately, but how am i missing all the whites everyone is talking about.

Great report Bill. Went this afternoon. 1 to 9 (lightning run me off). Caught a 5lb. large on 1/4 oz spoon looking for those whites...lot of fun. We caught multiple fish on pb&j. 3 keeper smallies. One 4lb large on salt craw just at dark, really made my partners night. never found the whites, but never went to long between bites. fished point 9 to point 11 and in Aunts. total - 25 fish, 5 keepers.

Thanks Bill as always. I havent figured out the assist hook deal yet. But i like the look of the baits. I will try some. And yes, the whites are every where. Found them around point 12 tuesday night. We had a blast till dark. Lot nicer size than the dinks from this spring, but no large ones found.

REALLY, . My thoughts are this: 1) Boo Hoo. 2) Boo Hoo. 3) Boo Hoo. -
Great pre report Bill. MOST all of us really appriciate the time and effort. One question, the flutter spoon? Thats a new one to me, I understand the pattern and the retrieve, but which spoons do u use for this. I have caught fish in Canada on some with the same style of retrieve, but never used it on tablerock.

S & M, a report like that really brings respect. Work involved with no worry about giving up the info. Not many would do either, especially both.

RPS, let us know what happens. I have two of them with anouther at my fathers. If they start in to having problems Id like to know my best route to fixing the situation.

Im just getting back into the swing of things, was wondering if anyone has been going night fishing? checked the posts and have seen no mention of it. Im planning on fishing buttermilk area and maybe up from there, but im game for any advise i can get. Its time to start my boy on the thrill of staying out all night in the dark, and like to put him on at least a few fish.

Amp, did u measure the 22lb fish? would like to know how long it was to compare it. Dan, im a long time bowhunting in heart, so waiting for the right one is not a new idea to me...if the possiblility is there for a big one, i can wait.

Nice report. Im thinking of taking a trip up to fellows. Do u have any advise for muskies?? Ive never been on the lake, always wanted to go, just got a buddy that has a new boat that i can take, as mine has a 60 horse on it. any and all help would be wonderful.

Paola Cat sounds right on track. I do a lot more of the power fishing for large northerns and muskie myself. The best bait i had this trip was the 6" storm swim baits. The pike and one muskie would not drop it for the life of them. You could take your time, reel down and really get a good hookset (other than i missed a lot of small fish that just held it in in the tip of there mouths, and the large single hook missed its mark on the set, but no real loss for me). Large mepps inline spinners are a must for large pike, along with 3/4 to 1 oz dardevil spoons in different colors (the classic five of diamonds seems to always produce), if your in weeds, 1/2 to 3/4 oz spinnerbaits (white is good) with as large of a willow leaf as u can find. Silver minnows are great also, with a white or yellow grub for a trailer. I do not leave home with less than two and normally 3 pairs of needle nose (some always go to the bottom of the lake), same with sunglasses. And two rainsuits are not a bad idea. we fished in 43 degrees and 40 mph gusts for two days with a light rain. Be prepaired for anything, no matter what the weather forcast. hope this helps.

Ill tell ya all i know. but first where are u going and what are u fishing for?

Just returned from a wonderful trip in canada. Walleye everyday in the 20"s, pike in the 30"s. Great place. Ive been there many times and they still do a wonderful job. Great food, great hospitality, great fishing. Weather could have been a little nicer, but fish on. wanted to share some pics. kcrcamp.com is the website for the resort. Anyone ever want to go, id give high marks and I can give more info for anyone wanting it.

Don, i am going fishing almost all weekend around that area i think. was wondering if u have seen any of the whites breaking the surface around the area? would love to get my kid on those. we have caught a ton of them this year but always looking to find some more, and big ones.....thanks.

RRV. Is $15 an inch for bass or for all species? I know that Northerns are quite different so i was just wondering. Im taking my son again, and if him or I get a trophy this trip, I am going to be looking for one to be made. Possibility of a walleye too. My biggest Northern to date was 43 1/2" and 26lbs. But i have caught 4 over the 40" mark.
