  1. But in at McCord Bend at 8. went all the way up to talor shoal. looking for white bass, none found. fished all the way back, no whites, no crappies, 4 small largemouths. water temps at 47.5 to 47.2. as for spoonbill. say many splashes first thing. from McCord to the riffle below Blunks. None past that that i say. graphed a few at McCord.
  2. That helps alot. thanks focused. thought id get alot more response then i have. I live at the back end of Little Indian Creek, between dd and talking rocks rd. is Little indian and big indian a good choice in the bigger creek arms u advised??
  3. Got a question for all the experienced fisherman on tablerock. Ive fish the rock my whole life and have fished a wart a little, with some success. Ive always heard of the wonderful wart bite in the spring and have never run into it. was wondering if yall would like to let out some of the specifics that make the bite come on. Water temps, depth, what area on the water, time of day, water clarity, and anything else someone might find useful. Past fishing trips are even great. ok, let the replys rip. Maybe it will warm me up and keep me thinking bout fishing instead of freezing this week. Looking forward to 50 degree water like everyone else.....
  4. Vonreed, u ever go at night?
  5. Toke two guys with me today and fished from 8 till 2. only found one largemouth and one small trout. Tried everyting we could think of. Looked for crappie, walleye, whites; even had minnows with no takers on them. The current was down, no water over the dam and little coming through. Anyone else been, was wondering bout the night time bite???
  6. Sorry running behind this week, went on the 27th with absolutly no luck (which isnt a big switch for me). Fished round Kimberling area. Tried the deep bit on two known locations, nothing. Tried some pea gravel points as a last ditch and nothing would smell of it. Talked to two freinds, one of which had been nocking them dead a week before, and they were empty also. Got me as what happened. be going this weekend again if weather permits. Ill post results. Anyone have suggestions?
  7. Did anyone go today. To pretty not to go. I got stuck babysitting a sick friend. Going tomorrow unless shes dieing . . . Putting in at Kimberling, any pointers???
  8. perfect thanks
  9. Speaking of brushpiles that the conservation sink on table, I read once that they have a map of the sites for fisherman but havent been able to find it online. Anyone have a link or know where to go???
  10. eakins jig, brown crawfish wart, and my favorite tennesse shad 4" tube
  11. WONDERFULL REPORT!!! Finally going this week, getting everything out while watching football right now. I have one question if anyone has any comments, what about weather. Going to be in the Dam to point 5 area, probably fishing the deep bite of my sonar. Love that style. But whats better, sun, overcast. does the wind blown banks make a difference at that depth???
  12. Thanks tightline. I hate to hear that it was a bad year, but hearing that a pro had a hard time makes all my skunked trips for 'eyes seem not to bad. went 6 times and never hooked one that I could get up. caught a few 'bows and a couple nice buffalos. Let the buffalos go, then a friend told me hed take all I could catch. Never found them again. Anyone goes please keep up the updates. Its an 1 1/2 hour trip for me so Id like to know whats going on before I take off to be skunked again...lol
  13. Nope, not yet. just put down my bow to start fishing. Been thinking bout going to look for eyes but it will be a couple weeks before i get the chance. Ill give a report as soon as i go, but still havent had much luck for them.
  14. Was wondering does anyone know about fishing Lake Springfield in the winter. Was wondering bout catfishing near the warm water discharge that is present on the lake. Anything that would consentrate the fish to let some kids catch some. Sounds like a good therory but looking for some more info before I take them out.
  15. WOW, i stop reading for a couple months and look what i missed.!.! My fellow fisherman have all went religious in one direction or anouther. What I enjoy is that everyone can say what they want, state their ideas and beliefs and we can agree to disagree; then all go fishing again. I believe I "go to my church" everytime i go hunting and fishing.
  16. Hello again. been a long time since ive been on site. nice to see everyones still here. also nice to start reading the good reports and advice. keep it coming, ive missed this place.
  17. Nice numbers man. Went Thursday morning 4 3hrs, caught one 28lbs and one 58lbs. Went This morning (friday) for anouther try and only got one at 64lbs. Both were males (let the small one go). All caught in ashers also....
  18. k, went sunday around point 15. water was 53 to 54 degrees. Just got back from Ashers below Longs. temp was 60 this afternoon. Saw a few spoonbill break the surface this evening. But I saw a huge number of them just up the james on sunday from 15.
  19. beats me. catch 5 and 2 male whites. 7am till noon. Tried everything I know of in shallow water. All 5 crappies were just over 10". would have tried the deeper bite but forgot to take the graph of my bass boat.
  20. I use sw. minns on TR a lot. crappie and whites mostly, and purple is my alltime best color. The only time its got beat is in stained water, where bone and char. normally work better..
  21. heard from a friend today that his buddy caught 4 keeper walleye around 86 bridge. Anyone heard anything lately, was thinking of going Sunday. Wheres the best place to but in? Heard you can but in at the bridge but Im not real familiar with the area.
  22. Went sunday. 3hrs was all I could take in that wind. caught two despite the wind. I was around point 15, caught them on minnows bout 15 down over 25 to 28 of water, above a lone cedar top.
  23. Is it still allowable to fish on the north side of the pothole from the shore? They changed the access and was just wondering if it was off limits now or if we could park on one of the new side roads?
  24. I know a friend that made a small pin out of fencing (8 by 8), with a trap door that was really successful. He baited it with leftovers and corn. Done wonders.
  25. Was thinking of going tomorrow, but sounds like I might go else where. Wish the 'eyes would get started, havent heard anything good on them anywhere and I've struck out twice now in 2 weeks.
