Gavin: None over 24" in fact no fish period for me over 24" but do have a few over 20" for the white thread jig, aka, grub, maggot, Big Hurt, piece of Sh**, Right now in detox to get off using it so much, able to fish two days on the Norfork tailwaters without putting one on. Thought I had Big Fish beat on the big fish for the day with my Cutt but 35 ft further down river he was able to come up with an equal size brown...............

Bade should not count...........Since he is known as "Big Fish Bade", Brown's, Bow's, and his famous Stripper caught I think after the last flood.......Always seems to be lucky enough to have someone coming down river at the right time to net and take care of the pic's.................Fox Squirrel, aka "Bade Special", at Hargrove's. Heck he could catch big fish without a hook..

Trd Now Controlling All Ark/mo Dams
Snow Fly replied to Brian K. Shaffer's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Do you think they will ever get real time generation reports at Norfork and the White. You call the number and you can be getting the 6am report with Norfork shut down at 1pm and you know they are running 2 units. -
New Takeout And Rental Cabin With Sweet Fishing!
Snow Fly replied to Justin Spencer's topic in North Fork of the White River
Justin: Great look on the new Cabin....it should rent out well! Will this be Steve's new place to bed out in the winter? Look forward to seeing you guys for the family canoe trip in a month.. -
Daddyo : I have fished the area you are talking about....have done well on trout in the winter and early spring, might have to much warm water at this time or it is close to the end for trout to be located...warm water fish should be present...check with the owners of the parking area, sometimes they do not want to cooperate............good fishing!

Nice job as usual Brian........the pic of the big brown, noticed Justin standing next to you, at least he is starting to get on the right side of the camera.........great job!

Brian: I still have a pair that I have kept around...and I can no longer wear them either. I think the material used on the upper part of the boot would shrink over time from the being wet then drying over time.....But I did have complete confidence in them....guess they no longer make a boot with the original Stealth sole........
-
Justin: Dave Bade left that fish for you....he was nailing them Friday below the island all bows. Then he caught fish all the way down. Pat's Rubber leg on all them didn't use a trailer after all the first fish he was into were on the Pats. We left and went home from Patrick via Caulifield to see if it was faster than CC from West Plains & it is. I think Tatter Tot is coming down end of month so if I don't make it before then I will have him pay the shuttle I owe you......Dang 18" Brown and I got ZERO fish Friday..........Guess no KARMA for me!

I have the Simms star cleats in an old pair of Simms rubber sole boots and have waded numerous times on tailwaters of the Norfork and NF of White and I'm more than satisfied in their performance......Since these were old boots I placed the cleats based on the wear pattern of sole. My only concern is how long the cleats will last at $39+. I have worn these types of boots for quit a few years...started out in the LL Bean Stealth Sole when they first came out and loved them.....First time I ever wore felt was in Cody Wy. and slipped going up a steep angle dry flat slab rock, fell over backward and nearly broke my leg and did break my rod wish was a very special rod to me. Good thing my buddy was able to help or I would still be laid out on the same rock 4 years later. I know Outside Bend and know for a fact he has waded and worked in areas of the country where everyone thinks you can't survive without felt.....and he is not just wade fishing but working/wading in the water for considerable distances. As Gavin would say..........Cheers

John: I was at Norfork when some work was being done.....on the day of arrival we waded in the area across from Gene's Resort (no generation) and they were placing large boulders (right side)in the area that use to bend to the left.Next day, again no generation, we were able to pontoon from the dam to the White where we ran into habitat work at Ackerman you mention. They were placing the large boulders on the lower end of the island....We were able to fish the run next to the new work on upper end of island and catch fish after fish. Then when we were below the island nothing but muddy water from the work. The area below Gene's, the channel now run right side facing down stream where it use to run left. Was able to keep pontoons stationary along the right side rocks with generation on the 3rd day.......but some of the boulders started to move around on top so needless to say it was "We Are Out of Here". Hope the work help to cut down on some of the erosion taking place in those area's. Larry

Nice report Gavin.....Fished Sunburst - James Sunday with Big John, both caught around 10 or so fish. Nice Bow at the first island, and as you we had 3 eagles follow down river. 1st time on the NFofW where I used anything smaller than 4x, had to go 6x, hard to believe. Great bunch of guys and found I can still go to sleep no matter how LOUD the music was......

New type of Shuffle called the "Track Hole Shuffle" It causes fish and fishermen to swim next to the tracks of the crawling beast.......... -
Does anyone have some idea's on why the are running so much water with the lake standing about 3 foot below top Power Pool? I understand about generation to meet electrical demands but the temp's have been on the mild side. So I thought there was some other reason behind this generation.

Great job Justin.......You have been the "MAN" here lately being on the right side on the camera. Went three times on shock trip's on the Current. Man you get to see some BIG fish.........the only sad part was to see grown men cry as they walk by to do some fishing, knowing, deep down, they are really screwed for the day

Nice job Eli! Glad to see your dad finally on the right end of the camera.........even if it was as the "Net Man".........Now he knows how I feel when fishing with Chris Conant....grab the net hurry.
