My HS kid caught most of the fish and we were lucky enough to cash a check, 5th i believe. Its incredible the opportunities these kids have now a days with most tournament guys being tight lipped

One word......TOUGH. Had 37 boats show for the first event of the season and i believe 13+ won the tournament with about 10 lbs drawing a check, paid 7 places. Very few big fish to be found but numbers were not an issue. Fish could be caught everywhere on whatever you wanted. I caught fish from 1 fow to 20. We fished from maze to orleans boat ramp. My High school partner threw a jig all night and I stuck to a carolina rig brush hog. WT was 68 about everywhere. Like I said, tough for all but great night to be out of the house. WATERPOSSUM, great to see you again.

Thanks guys. Seems this year the big fish have came out to play and with me not having my boat until January its nice to hit the river and just relax for an afternoon. Another thing, all those fish are still swimming for someone else

for some reason the river fish this year seem to be larger, both the largemouth and spots. I think the flood washed all the fish from Springfield lake into the James!!!

Decided to brave the cooler temps and head to the river again today around rivercut golf course. With the cooler temps they seemed to be tucked into the cover. All fish came on a jig. Had a few good ones

I know a lot of guys fished the winter series that was held on Stockton and pomme the last few years, their is now a new series that will be ran in the winter months. The same guys that ran the Stockton Friday nigters will be running a Stockton/pomme winter derby. I will post a website when it becomes active. I hope to see some guys there!!
