Hey go hit Dyna Prop. They rebuilt a prop for me last fall. took all of four days and was only $55.00 you could not tell it had any damage after they fixed in and it was pretty sad. Just head to Branson west go north on 13 to 76 and west there down 76 about 4 miles on theleft. Hey go hit Dyna Prop. When I fished in Europe Isaw a lot of people using the insulation off a hard copper wire and a short maybe 1/2 piece of copper to connect each end for strike indicators, they would place these between the reel and the first rod eye. you could see the slightest twitch of a bite. Nice fish, really some nice colors on those guys. John

I worked for a man who had really poor skills once, he wasvery interested with snakes as long as they were in the terrariums. We even got to the point of keeping her in a back room in a bucket when we tod him this, just in case he did drop by. One of the other workers and I figured out to keep him away so we could get work done, was to tell him Leona was out and we could not find her. She was a very disturbed Western Diamond back, he would try to bite anything that got near her cage. I do know it is possible to walk on water, I have done that a couple times after stepping on a cottonmouth on Crooked Creek, even been able to take the air step. Thats the step where you are placing say your right foot and have made the wieght transfer to the righht foot and somehow you magicly find a step rightthere in mid air.

There was an article about them teaming up and stocking channel cats to get them back to the former popualtions and breeding. Personally the river is not the same river it was 30 years ago, we seldom catch smallies over a pound above Carver where as before back when I was a kid we caught and filleted several three to four pound smallies, then there was no size limit but fewer pointd boats and even fewer gravel filled holes. Habitat has changed and I don't know if they see the end of smallies and are stocking cats or what. But thats the news.

Mildminner, maybe if you did not lead such a sheltered life yu would have seen the article on KY3 news about the copperheads at Pyatt, there has also been an article in the Harrison Daily Times a few years back. I found a link but it was dead. Maybe if you are in such a fuss to prove me wrong check those sources and the AGFC for some information. Chuck Miller owns the place in Marion County. Professor Stanley E. Trauth is researching the snake gahering, its happened more than once. There minner, thats your leads no prove me wrong!!!

Painting The Livewells
taxidermist replied to zander's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Tractor Supply has a lot of enaml paints that you can add a catalyst to. Once the cat sets the paint its very solid and will not leach enough to harm the fish. Sand the livewells and rinse with lacquer thinner, this will remove any wax, then wash with soapy water and rinse well, once its dry mix the enamal and cat, aloow to sit about 15 minutes to start the chemmmical cross linking oig the components. then paint, at 75F this stuff will set up rock hard in 24 hours. -
Hit the water at Cotter this afternoon, wind made it a bit cold but the rainbows most in the 13-15 inch range with a 17" male spawner. were biting verywell. From 2:30 to dark 30 we fished Cotter up to Hurst and catch over 40 bows one cutthroat. John

Achieve a high level of angler compliance with regulations to aid in achievement of management objectives. From my experience on White River about 70% of the guides chum and few are ever in complaince. I see them keeping small browns that are healthy enough to swim off, have seen shore lunches where the limit of trout we cooked and then they fish the afternoon. As for larger fish, we most often catch a few 20-21 browns see lots of really huge browns but htye dont bite often thats why they are big. So is there a way to have your cake and eat it too. I am pretty happy with the size of fish we catch, but then we catch larger fish it seems but its maybe the lures we use. Big fish did not get big eating just bugs!!

Try a 1/32 white Maribou road runner. Last winter we were busting the trout on Taney with those. .

Tips For Spinning In Non Trophy Area. Feb
taxidermist replied to LASGTA88's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
If you are going to use Power bait, don't use small hooks. We use a #4 Eagle Claw Crappie hook and five or six Power BAit Eggs, we find Carolina Rigging with 1/16th ounce weights and the larger amount of eggs floats higher where the fish are. Colors are up in the air, sunrise has been working for some good bows. The bend in the crappie hook we seldom don't hook the fish in the lower lip. I would throw a gold rapala CD-5, CD-7, Fluorescent orange rooster tails in the larger size. We use 8lb Vanish. -
Where did the HOgs go??? They sure were not at the cotton Bowl. Or to much partying??

Corn flakes, Wheaties, strawberry jello and you will have most of Beaver Lake, Table Rock and even Bull SHoals to yourself fishing for carp. Americans have not figure out just yet Carp may bell be the fightingest (yea I know) fish in the water. I have not seem anyone fishing just for carp in these lakes, most are accidental catches. We have fihsed for them a few times but dont have strong enough rods to land the large ones, the ones over 30 lbs are awesome. Good luck JOhn

taxidermist replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Conservation Issues
Global warming??? It has been happening since the last ice age. Remember the giant dragon fly fossil found in the artic diamond mines a couple years ago???? It made the news 3ft or so wing span. -

Trav, Check with DYNA PROP out toward Cape Fair. They have several hundred props on hand and may be able to get others. I had a prop repaired by them, dropped it off on Wed and it was Ready on FRIDAY!! Cost was $55.00. -
I used it on the river, with a River Jon, So I think its the short shaft, not the long shaft.

My Ex and I get along, matter of fact I am keeping two horses for her, sold a 4horse slant trailer for her. She was down two weeks ago to see her horses. She now lives in Valdez AK. While we were married she never fished, she does now , Go figure!! We just decided we were meant to be friends other than spouses. My wife and I fish often and the Ex wife invited us up to stay with her and fish. Anyway I don't think we will go to AK to visit, we have a lot of fun catching trout on the White River with occasinal trips to TaneyComo. Wife is out of school but had surgery on her leg and is missing fishing these two weeks.
