A week ago Sunday I posted about my neighbor Tom who died and how his kids were really torn up. They are fine young men. Well tonight, the elder, Tommy is throwing out the first pitch at the Cardinal's game. Both boys get to go in the dugout and meet all the players and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember because they were talking so fast. Little does Tommy know that I have a fairly high up connection with the Cards and he told me that he's going to get his hands on either the video of Tommy throwing the first pitch , the stills, or hopefully both. Those boys were so excited when they left about an hour ago, made me smile. THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS GUYS.

Today was a beautiful and sad day.... If you've never been standing in your driveway and had the 10 year old neighbor boy run across the street to tell you his dad just died, I hope you never do. Please pray this evening for Tom (R.I.P.) and his wife Nancy, and his two boys Tommy(13) and Mikey(10). Thank you.

I never missed an episode of Fish ON! It was on ESPN2 in the early 00's. It wasn't educational at all. I think they caught one, maybe two fish an episode, but the women that caught them were some "fine" fisherman. Phil, I'll dedicate a day (still have quite a bit of "free" time) to looking for on-line shows and maybe pick 10 and start a poll.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with y'all on the maters. I have a couple of dozen plants, two died. Few flowers and very little fruit thus far. My cukes and cantaloupe have tons of flowers but have shown not fruit. Even my tabasco and chili pepper plants are stinking it up. They have a few peppers on them, but the plants themselves seem to be dwarfs. They are only about 8" tall. What is up? Herbs and bell peppers seem to be doing the best. What a weird year....

I've got a buddy that has an old Sears v-hull jon. The transom needs to be replaced. So... I was thinking, 3/4" marine ply.... from there, I'm clueless. Paint? Epoxy? Urethane? Any better than the other? Leave it raw? Any tricks and tips on attachment/reinforcement? He only has an 8h/p outboard and a trolling motor to mount to it. I've looked all over the internet and there are only a few billion different opinions on what to do and not do. Figured that since its a Missouri boat, I'd see what my fellow residents had to offer. (If you're not in MO, feel free to chime in as well, any and all input is greatly appreciated.) Thanks in advance.

So, I'm drinkin coffee this morning and flippin channels. I stop on the Babe Winkleman show. Seems like a nice enough program, as usual. Then for some reason, and its probably been there forever, I notice in the info box that some how there is "moderate violence" in this show. I bet a lot of the fishing shows I watch are tagged with this, but I just don't understand why. Heck, 98% of the fishing shows on TV are C&R. Anyone else notice this "Rating" or is it only on Charter? Just seems weird to me... that is all. Back to watching Babe beat the crap out of some walleyes.
